From the moment we walked in the door we felt truly welcomed! The staff here are fantastic. Sightseeing recommendations, the best restaurants, arranging taxis - nothing is too much trouble. Stewart was great especially with 7am coffee for me daily due to being an early riser and Denise always ready to welcome us back in the afternoon with hot drinks... More

As a small group tour operator, I always choose Acorn House as destination in Cape Town. Stewart and the staff ensures a warm welcome and sees to every personal need as well as make excellent recommendations for eating places and excursions. Besides being very comfortable and beautifully furnished, Acorn House has historic value and is centrally situated with easy access... More

My friends and I were fortunate that our guide (a lovely South African woman living in Charleston) booked us into Acorn House. Good location, so much comfort, something beautiful to see everywhere you looked -- including the lemon tree in the patio where laundry dries in the sun. The breakfast room is so pretty -- even on dull mornings. The... More

Acorn house is in a great neighborhood with a store/cafe on the corner. It is walking distance to some restaurants and an inexpensive taxi ride everywhere else. They arranged taxis and dinning reservations for our group. The bedrooms, garden and other common spaces are wonderful. I have food allergies and they made sure that I always had numerous choices for... More

First 5 nights on the African continent were at Acorn House. What a great welcome, zipping white wine on the terrace surrounded by the nice garden. Every morning was a great surprise, Steward proposing morning specials, e.g. Denise pancakes, to supplement the nice breakfast buffet. Whenever we needed advice on local matters, booking of tickets, etc. staff were very helpful.... More

We booked two nights here and ended up adding three more, it was that pleasant. It's in a quiet, safe-feeling residential neighbourhood with Table Mountain as a backdrop. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offered to make dinner reservations each day if we were interested; when we took them up on that they made the reservations and arranged... More

Tastefully furnished house with caring staff that really makes you feel at home from the very first moment. They set the table in the garden for our picknick and gave us good advice for our footwalk on the mountain table. Breakfast was excellent. We were there as a family with two teenagers.

We stayed at Acorn House for 4 days and really enjoyed the stay! The place has a relaxing atmosphere, service minded staff and a lovely breakfast. All making us feel at home. The guesthouse is located in a quiet area with a really nice view over Cape Town. We would love to come back to Cape Town AND Acorn House!

A wonderful location nestling right under Table Mountain, this was a wonderful place to spend our first three nights in South Africa. We were welcomed with a pot of tea and a piece of cake and Denise was very keen to help us identify something for us to do on our first afternoon. She even offered to lend us 200... More

We had a terrific stay here thanks, especially, to Stewart and the girls, who did so much for us. The guest house is simply but comfortably furnished and a great place to stay on a trip to Cape Town. We arrived from the heat of Namibia and it was great to be able to sit in front of a wood... More
