Normally reviews are not really my thing as you expect what you pay for, however i simply cannot write a review on this amazing hotel. Like other comments, i too travel the world considerably and the sugar hotel rates right at the top. First of all the swish interior design is what hits you as you enter, and that feeling... more

We have had the opportunities to stay in many five-star properties around the world from Shanghai to London. Sugar Hotel's rooms and staff rate amongst the best of them. I recommend Sugar Hotel to anyone visiting Cape Town! more

I was very plesantly suprised upon arrival at the location, layout and accessability of this hotel. I really savoured the room size and facilities. The staff from top to bottom were exceptionally helpful and accomodating. They have a can do policy. If in Cape Town again I will stay here again. more

Let's face it, even Cape Town is a little scary from a crime perspective. You really should not walk the streets alone. Yet, Sugar Hotel provides a safe haven just minutes from the harbor. Their hospitality is outstanding. The receptionist arranged a late night dinner reservation and taxi for me. Breakfast was awesome! Rooms were roomy. Shower rocked. more

After several sleepless nights in another hotel in a busier area of Cape Town I opted to spend my last night before flying to Europe at the Sugar Hotel. I could not have been happier... The staff were exceptional and catered to my every whim; the room was a little small but had everything I could have asked for; Bathroom... more

We booked the Sugar Hotel for a family holiday over New Year 2007. On the website the hotel looked great - but didn't show that the hotel is right beside the motorway running through Cape Town. The rooms were a good size and facilities in general were fine. The staff were extremely unhappy - I had imagined a small boutique... more

I found this hotel and fell in love with the website and tripadvisor reviews. I was looking for somewhere special to take my partner for her birthday during our trip to Cape Town. Everything went fine until I tried to book the hotel, which was complete mission. They wanted a faxed photocopy of the front and the back of my... more

We stayed at the Sugar Hotel for 5 days and loved it. It is a small hotel (7 suites) very close to the Waterfront area. Everything is new and first class. The style is very modern and our suite had bunk beds in the second room, which was great for our daughter--plus they had a free Playstation in the kids... more
