Sugar hotel is in a good and safe area at about 10-15 min walk from the CTICC conference center, the Wavefront and downtown Capetown. Breakfast is a la carte and excellent (but the staff allows custom orders as well). Everything is fresh and nice. The rooms are spacious and clean with very comfortable beds. Recommended.

So this was our 3rd visit to this hotel and I really can't recommend it enough. I think the hotel has just 7 bedrooms but they are all beautiful and and very spacious with lovely bathrooms, the hotel is a great location, just 15 mins walk from the V&A - lots of nice bars and restaurants within walking distance from... So if you want the best hotel in Cape Town that is within walking distance of the waterfront but half the price of the waterfront hotels book at the Sugar. It is a small boutique hotel which is furnished beautifully and the staff is exceptional. In addition Marc's Restaurant located in the hotel is fabulous-the food is beyond compare. So... More

The owners have been very accommodating when we moved our booking twice. Very reasonably priced and location superb. I loved that we had a water purifier built into the bathroom sink. The breakfast was great and everything is included. I'll definitely return.

My family stayed here for 5 days in early July. Our room was lovely and spacious, and importantly our daughter had a proper bed and the room wasn't cramped when the extra bed was added. We were I. Room two, first floor at the front of the hotel. One night we experienced a bit of no is from the festa... More

We have stayed at Sugar Hotel for 5 nights - the bedroom was nicely decorated and the breakfast was perfect. Everyone was extremely friendly and we had a lovely time there. All the staff was very attentive providing us information on what to visit and tips for our local trips. On two of the nights we had dinner at Marc's... More

Nice boutique hotel with an exceptional staff. The breakfast was very good and the waitstaff in the restaurant really made you feel at home. I stayed in room 4 which had a plunge pool and nice large bathroom. The room itself was small but adequate. The hotel location was not ideal but manageable. Although I really liked the hotel itself... More

We stayed at Sugar hotel for 3 nights. The staff was so wonderful and helpful, a true pleasure. The breakfast is included and SO delicious. The hotel is also a 10 minute walk from the waterfront as well. If you're debating whether or not to stay here, just book it!!!

Sugar is a nice hotel just 10 mins walk from the V & A waterfront - so well located. It has a private car park and spa room. Our room was HUGE and despite being on a main road, still nice and peaceful. Spa is small and massage is average but nice to have the option.

We stayed at the Sugar in April and have to say it made our Cape Town experience amazing. The staff was incredible, the room like an oasis..complete with incredible big bed and two person tub. The owners Riaan and Mark are incredibly hospitable and the dining room serves food that makes you never want to go out, it is truly divine.... More
