I loved DLL! It's in a great area, right in the hip part of Capetown, the rooms are clean and the front desk is super helpful. Each room has a different theme, and some are a bit much to take, but it definitely makes for an interesting stay! My only complaint would be that the wireless internet isn't free (and... More

Expected a bit more creativity as far as the rooms are concerned. Parking is a HUGE problem, especially across the road, with that parking marshal. The hotel can arrange parking at the hospital about two blocks away, at an additional cost, from 16:30 to 8:30, but for the rest of the day it's your problem. Staff not very professional, woke... The hotel is clean and comfortable. The rooms are fun, small and basic. The place suited our needs - somewhere to sleep while enjoying the bars and restaurants of the city. The walls are thin so any noise from downstairs filters through. There is no free wifi or parking provided, however this can be arranged at a cost. Reception was... More

For the cool kids. Great redesign of an old building, with a lot of character. Reception was very friendly. I stayed in the 501 room (as in Levi's), the drawback of which was that it doesn't have an external window, it's window faces onto an atrium, in which for some odd reason smoking is allowed. So the smoke drifted into... More

We expected more. Our room was very small, not clean and certainly not hip or trendy. Everything in the rooms look old and worn and is badly finished. There is no free wifi and for your breakfast you have to go to a lunchroom nextdoor. Vouchers are not included! The rooms are also pretty noisy, so bring ear plugs. More

Hi there Thank you for the valued response. We do proud ourselves in our uniquenes and cleanliness of our rooms. Therefore we are quite dissapointed to hear of your experience. We do have a system in place to ensure rooms are cleaned everyday, however this is not good enough and we will certainly address this matter. As for the breakfast,... More

Great boho hotel, very different, only thing I'll say is don't come with suitcases due to no lift, backpacks all the way! More

Great themed rooms. Ours was "freshly ground" - a room dedicated to a band with their pictures on the walls and CDs to play on the hifi system. There are even speakers in the bathroom! Only a clothes rail and not much else for storing clothes and belongings. Probably more suited to a short stay. Bathroom was spacious but again... More

Hi There Thank you for the compliments as well as the constructive critcisim. We proud ourselves in our themed rooms and will definately have a meeting with our cleaning staff. We actually have a system in place where our rooms are checked by our duty managers. I hope you enjoyed the location and the music in the shower! Regards Francois... More

After spending just about every trip in CT at The Backpack (I rate this is the best backpack on the planet), I got myself married and my wife and I decided to upgrade and have a weekend in 'Slaapie's at this bizarre, beautifully crafted, intimate wee boutique hotel -the 'Daddy Long Legs' we'd heard about on the grapevine. We looked... More

This art hotel is more of a hostel for the young and hip, but I fit in just fine. My room was small but always clean and very creative. I felt inspired to make art and energized there. It’s a very good location for the African Trade Market – which is one block away, the best place to get your... More

I stayed back in March for a week, having rocked up without a booking the staff were incredibly accommodating and bent over backwards to help. I had the pleasure of staying in a couple of the different themed rooms which added to the experience, and I felt the place had a great atmosphere... More
