Turning up at the hotel was a bit daunting. We had been told by everyone that Cape Town was dangerous and the hotel was situated just a street down from the main CBD area and we got a bit nervous. That was stupid because we didn't have any trouble at all for the entire week we were there. The hotel... More

Good value for money- a bit noisy, comfortable. Good breakfast in the mornings and their dinner was excellent. Centrally located in the heart of Cape Town and lot of night life in close proximity. I would recommend for a business trip, not a family vacation.

Visited this hotel from 4th to 8th May, 2015. Staff are very friendly. They allowed me to make a booking a few days prior to my arrival without the need for a deposit (could be because of it being winter then and hence low number of tourists). The breakfast is good and generous for one billed on the bed. The... More

We arrived in Cape Town on a Saturday afternoon. The area on weekends is a bit shady, especially after all the stores and such had closed. As in most places in South Africa we were advised not to walk around after dark, but walking around during the day was fine. The breakfast was very good, the staff was observant and... More

We stayed at Cape Diamond hotel for 3 nights during Christmas 2014. It was our first visit to Cape Town and we chose this hotel based on its very close proximity to Greenmarket Square (literally just down the street). The location is great and very easy to get to using the Bus from the airport and then a short walk... More

The very old building has been revamped as this average hotel, which has left me in two minds as to whether it could warrant a return. The staff are amongst the friendliest I've encountered, and deserve praises. But when you check in with a reservation saying double room including breakfast, and get ushered to a single room stuffed in a... More

The hotel lacks good customer service and the quality of the facilities is a bit poor. The staff was not friendly. The linen was never changed for the duration of my stay (4 nights) and I was told fresh linen was unavailable at the time of my request

I stayed at Diamond Hotel for 7 nights, it is good even though the rooms are not the same, others do have bar fridge others do not have and I was staying in a room without a fridge. I loved Diamond Hotel because it is next to waterfront and there are lots of shops and restaurants around it. The rooms... More

The pictures are really deceiving, the rooms do not look like advertised, they are tiny and they have no view what so ever. We enjoyed our stay and the staff were very friendly and accommodating but the hotel can defiantly do with some TLC. The rooms are clean and nicely setup, but like i said tiny. No view, the windows... More

We stayed three nights in cape diamond hotel. Its well located in the center of the city and close to shopping and hop on hop off bus station 5. This makes it a nice start to explore the city. The hotel is not very luxury but very good value for the price. Room was nice and clean, bathroom new and... More
