My wife and I enjoyed a 4 night stay at Blackheath Lodge and found the service and style of the guest house exceptional, well located in Sea Point just a 15 min walk to the V&A Waterfront. The ssstaff were friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, the room was fantastic and the bed to... more

Unbelievable set up and so quiet, yet so very close to the city, V&A Waterfront and all other attractions – wonderfully decorated (love the eclectic touches and furniture combinations). Excellent service, great breakfasts on the terrace - Perfect holiday ever. more

I was slightly disappointed by Blackheath Lodge. The website set some high expectations which it didn't quite achieve. The rooms are nice and functional but not as glossy as the website. They have gone for the shabby chic look but I felt this wasn't quite achieved with bumpy walls, mismatched furniture and some items (such as the bedside lamps) looking... more

What a treat. My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights at Blackheath Lodge in a combined birthday celebration. In dealing with Antony and Michelle whilst making our booking made us realise that we had made the right choice of guesthouse. Oh my, we were so not disappointed. Jean-Claude welcomed us when we arrived late, helped us with dinner reservations and... more

I normally stay in large hotels groups and have to say finding Blackheath Lodge for my 4 week stay in Cape Town was a real find. It's charm is largely due to the attention to detail, staff help, spacious rooms - all beautifully appointed. The breakfast deck is great - quiet abd tranquil and I enjoyed sundowners there too followed... more

Two girlfriends and I stayed at Blackenheath for four days/3 nights in April. I was looking for a place with a good location, close to nightlife, and close to the Cape Town convention center that would be worthy of my friends travelling half way across the world, plus affordable. I considered Daddy Longs Legs, recommended by friends, but decided on... more

A couple of weeks a go I posted a review about this Guesthouse but it was not what the owner expected. Some how he convinced me to remove. But I feel very strong about it, so here it is revised. When one arrive at Blackheath Lodge, it appears to be a quite a nice property but proves disappointing. Blackheath Cape... more

We have stayed at a number of different places in Cape Town (and around the world for that matter) and find that Blackheath ranks amongst the finest. It's a lovely facility and run exceedingly well by Antony and John who strive to make the entire experience - both in the guesthouse and in Cape Town - the very best. The... more

I have been remiss in writing my review for Blackheath, but when a friend of mine wanted suggestions on where to stay in Cape Town I mentioned Blackheath and told him to go on the Trip Advisor site and check their rating. Much to my surprise I saw a very negative review so I wanted to let everyone know that... more

Very attractive, charming, well-located guest house. The proprietors and staff were warm, helpful, professional and accommodating. We would certainly recommend Blackheath Lodge to other travelers. more
