This hotel is a luxurious bedroom and bathroom with lovely staff who really go the extra mile. I would highly recommend this hotel, we returned and the 2nd room was arguably even better than our first.

We had very high expectations when we booked. At first, we thought it was a great place when we saw that our room was spacious and comfortable. Yet, we kept being more and more disappointed. The person who welcomed us, G., told us the beach was nearby (it is not), Waterfront is walking distance (40 min...) and that we had... More

Three days in Cape Town for business I was totally happy having chosen Blackheath Lodge: Antony is a perfect host, it's like staying in the house of very good friends. Antony and his staff organize you the transport from the airport and helps you finding the right table (sunset!) in the best restaurants of Cape Town. The interior is very... More

My friend and I started our adventure in Africa by spending 3 days in Capetown to get over our jet lag before starting a 3 week motorcycle safari. The lodge is 3 converted houses in a quiet neighbourhood in Seapoint 2 blocks from the ocean. The art collection really impressed me as did the concierge service of the staff. From... More

What a fantastic start to our first trip to South Africa to stay in such a wonderful place as Blackheath. It is utterly charming and nothing at all seems to be too much trouble. Each and every request was met with a smile, as well as an immediate solution. For us the location was perfect; it was so quiet that... More

Great quiet hotel near enough to downtown. Cabs rides are cheap $6 to Green Market, $5 to Bo-Kaap. The rooms were clean and service was friendly. My only tow complaints were Geoffrey, the night desk clerk was more interested in getting the registration form filed out than welcoming us. (I felt like a first grader) Once he got his form... More

We visited Blackheath this past week and if we ever return to Capetown we would not stay anywhere else. It was amazing - the food was delicious, the service was just right and the rooms were comfortable and well appointed. We just want to say how wonderful Jean Claude and Charle were - they took great care of us. No... More

Stayed here recently on a wedding weekend and my partner and I were so impressed. Service from the very start was impeccable and they made you feel like royalty and nothing was too much trouble. The food at the wedding was exquisite and the whole weekend was amazing. We felt very safe and very relaxed. Recommend highly.

My 19 year old daughter and I spent 4 nights here before heading out for a week at Krueger - totally loved it! The decor is Anthropologie quirky in a most comfortable way, breakfasts were delicious, staff incredibly friendly and helpful (make sure and meet Jean-Claude!) and our accommodations delightful. Beautiful residential-like area within walking distance of waterfront (day time).... More

We visited Cape Town in April 2014 and spent a week at Blackheath Lodge. The staff are friendly and worked together whatever their roles. Anthony was a charming and hospitable host who was genuinely interested to arrange tour or taxis or whatever you needed. We had the loft room and the balcony view was awesome. Breakfast was also delicious. Here... More
