Nice room with sea view, staff excellent and very helpful in all what you do. Just ask something and they book for you. Beds are excellent, breakfast as well and the bar is very cute and cosy. It is close by taxi from the "center" and very calm for a good sleep.

We spent four days at the lodge. I highly recommend it. The breakfast was amazing. The staff exceeded our expectations. Their recommendations for restaurants, was excellent. You can't go wrong with this place.

We enjoy the intimacy of B&B's or inns over larger hotels and this stay proved our point. The staff and guests at Blackheath were so enjoyable--a warm, friendly experience. Management thought of everything in our room. The common areas were inviting, varied, and plentiful. The location was great--waterfront within walking and restaurants nearby. Perfect for this beautiful city.

As a large old house converted into a boutique hotel, the Blackheath Lodge combines character with cosiness. It is tastefully decorated and in some ways still feels more like a home than a hotel, especially the nice bar area. I stayed in two different rooms (as a result of my last minute booking). Both were nicely appointed and comfortable; the... More

My husband and I, together with another couple spent the last few days of our holiday in SA here. It was a great place to stay at, clean, friendly, comfortable - and Coco the dog was a delight! The staff made sure you had everything you needed, organised our visits to local restaurants, and made sure we all got back... More

I stayed here for a few nights while visiting Cape Town and it was fantastic. The rooms are comfortable and decorated beautifully and the pool is lovely. The breakfast is delicious and the staff could not be more helpful. If only every hotel I stayed at was like this one! I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Cape Town. Reasonably... More

I have stayed in many resorts and hotels which are more luxurious than this place but this has to be one of the best places I stayed in. The location is great. It's close to the main tourist attractions, I always felts safe. There are lots of restaurants and other shops just around the corner. For 50-60 rand in a... More

A darling little B & B in Capetown. Close enough to walk to the waterfront and far enough from the city center to be in a quite neighborhood. I read the reviews from Trip Advisor and we were lucky enouugh to secure rooms for our party of 4 couples. Everyone enjoied their stay. All of our rooms were different, and... More

My brother-in-law and I started our South African Adventure with a 3 day stay at Blackheath Lodge. Our stay was superb from the initial contact to the last minutes of departure. Great location -- an oasis in a busy exciting city. Antony, Charle, Jean Claude, Geoffrey, and least we forget, Coco were very welcoming and accommodating. Dining reservations - done;... More

I found the hotel on internet when searching for convenient location for short stay in Cape Town. Being first time visitor to South Africa and Cape Town, mail correspondence with staff member Charle helped me a lot to plan my visit and made it memorable. She organized the taxi transfer to the lodge and back to the airport, proposed an... More
