A fabulous experience at the Blackheath Lodge in Cape Town. We were there for three nights in August. I cannot recall ever experiencing better service. The staff went above and beyond my expectations. The Blackheath is a "guest house," something of a cross between a hotel and a B&B. The room was a bit smallish but otherwise very nicely appointed... This is a lovely place to stay - convenient, quiet, very attractive rooms, delicious breakfasts, great staff. We were picked up at the airport, taxis organised, restaurants etc suggested and booked. Antony offers a free itinerary service and came up with some wonderful suggestions.

Stumbled upon information about Blackheath Lodge while searching for a place my family would stay during our 3 week visit to Capetown. I thought to myself, while reading the many excellent reviews posted by past clients, "this is too good to be true!" A description that seemed common to most reviewers was "homely," and that made me call and speak... More

My friend and I stayed here in early August 2015 for a long weekend and were amazed with how lovely and welcoming this inn is! Literally every detail had been considered in the room, even a cell phone to use! The breakfasts were delicious and the service impeccable. Do take advantage of renting the Mini Cooper for a drive. I... More

This past June, I made my third trip to Cape Town. I had been so pleased with my stay at Blackheath, that I have chosen to stay every time, for about 5 nights per trip. The hospitality is unparalleled, and Antony, Charle, and the whole staff are extremely accommodating. They never tired of giving advice about what to do, directions,... More

After traveling half way around the world, it was wonderful to be greeted warmly, have our luggage whisked away to our room, and be offered a beverage while listening to a helpful overview of the lodge itself and the areas around Cape Town. Our room was clean, comfortable and well decorated. There was a small lounge where we would go... More

I was here with my family in January 2015 Blackheath lodge has the perfect location, they are very helpful and made our stay very memorable! The rooms are very cosy and clean. And all of us fell madly in love with the dog Coco. We will definitely return to Blackheath.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay here. It was a home away from home and all the staff was heartwarming upon our revival. Breakfast was wonderful, and anyone was there to help at any time. Situated in a neighborhood, we felt safe. The location was perfect. Very close to the water, close to a hop on/off bus. Plus, the... More

My wife and I stayed there for 2 nights in early August. My wife just loved it (the interior design and the feeling of the atmosphere) the moment when she stepped in this hotel. The staff, Charle, gave us a warm welcome and good advices of Cape town. The room isn't big but good enough for us to place our... More

We had originally booked 4 nights at Blackheath Lodge for our visit to Cape Town in July. The plan was then to go on a mini roadtrip and return to Cape Town for another 4 nights, staying at a different hotel. However, after spending only 10 minutes at Blackheath we decided to book there for our second visit too. After... More
