We arrived at the hotel to be met by Taryn, the manager on duty at the time. Initially, she was ok, but too quick to try to sign us up for trips even before we had been shown to our room. The room itself was large, very clean and simple. PERFECT, or so we thought. After traveling for over 24... More

What a fabulous place? Tucked on a quiet little street this 18 room jewel is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. They make you feel like family. Peter, Tarryn, Portia and the whole staff took such great care of us. Highly, highly recommended.

We spent three nights of our honeymoon in this hotel, which does not have many room and therefore has an intimate feeling, something half-way between an hotel and a guesthouse. We booked the studio room (number 1): it was huge and modern, with a big bathroom and shower, not to mention a fully equipped kitchen and a very comfortable bed.... More

We spent 3 nights there and liked it. The rooms are lovely although a bit small when travelling with two normal suitcases. There is no place to put them but the floor. At first it was chilly and damp in the room until we found the heating. Our mistake, we did not ask about it. The rooms mostly have large... More

My wife and I visited Cape town on short notice to watch the rugby game between the Stormers and the Lions at Newlands(this was awesome) We were greeted by the most friendly service that immediately made us feel at home . The hotel has got a pedigree of history which is well combined with a modern flavour .The rooms are... More

We were pleasantly surprised by this stunning hotel in Cape Town and really enjoyed our three night stay there. The hotel has lots of character and charm, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel is also very centrally located for exploring the Cape Town city bowl and surrounds. We would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone.

Character filled historic house, which was the home of the last Commandant of the Cape Castle in the 1770's. Tucked away in the backroads off Upper Buitenkant Street it is good value for money, with well appointed rooms and friendly staff. Given the promises of exceptional service the inability to recommend local restaurants disappointed. Plumbing less than perfect and the... More

Dear Howard, Many thanks for taking the time to review us, we really appreciate the positive review as well as the points raised. Pieter our manager said he did give some restaurant recommendations when you checked in but you must have spoken to our new evening receptionist regarding the restaurants a bit later on. She has been with us for... More

Greeted by a most friendly reception. Boutique hotel situated in a heritage-type house. Small swimming pool next to the recreation area which has braai (bbq) facilities. Not luxuriously large but rooms are more than adequate. All the mod-cons are there - showers, bath, TV (which strangely I could never get to work - perhaps they should leave detailed instructions for... More

Great spot with such great staff and rooms are fabulous and definitely one to return to. The breakfast was yum and we were all set up for a long drive along the gardens route. We agreed that we would stay longer next time.

The Three Boutique Hotel was a great home base for us on our first visit to Cape Town. It has a very relaxed spirit to it--very open and classical looking, in what I'm guessing is Dutch Colonial architecture. It's a small place, so we came to know the staff and ended up chatting with them every day (including Fana, the... More
