Charming atmosphere in an old Victorian house. Ryan and Dirk were professional, knowledgable and pleasant. The breakfast was beautiful, staff attentive. Such wonderful things out of a small kitchen. Walking distance to restaurants, grocery, pharmacy, ATM. Close to Table Mountain and City Garden which makes a lovely walk.

The Cape Cadogan is a beautiful, well-appointed hotel with a wonderful staff. Unfortunately Room 8 is both on the street side and is the closest room to the party that never ended until well after midnight. My wife and I didn't get one restful night out of our four nights at the Cape. The nightly port, the fudge on the... More

This was out first night in Cape Town. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable and the place was very relaxing. We stayed in Winter and I really enjoyed the log fires they put on in the evening. Dirk (I think he was the manager or one of the managers) managed to get us a table at the best restaurant in Cape... More

The staff at Cape Cadogan are truly one of a kind. They go above and beyond to help you and are generally just lovely people especially ciska. Excellent local restaurants. Breakfast Is yum especially the flap jacks! Room 6 is gorgeous with comfortable bed and twin rainforest showers. The magic touch was a hot water bottle in our beds and... More

Fantastic hotel, great staff, I completely agree with all the complimentary comments on this site… so why only two stars? Afraid down to one of those human error situations which, unfortunately, negated all the positive aspects of the hotel for us. We were allocated room 2 on the ground floor and were delighted with it, full of light with a... More

Great service at this boutique hotels. They were super helpful helping us plan activities, places to see/go, restaurants, etc. The breakfasts were AMAZING! Honestly, the best. Our room was beautiful, the shower was a dream (huge walk in shower - the size of a normal bathroom with 2 shower heads). we even had a cute patio outside. the beds were... More

We stayed for 4 nights at this lovely hotel . Our room was large, sunny and comfortable. It also had a very large marble bathroom including a large tub and a two person shower. We enjoyed the friendly staff and the the warm atmosphere here. The "Living Room" has a wood burning fireplace adding to the cozy feel of the... More

We stayed for 4 nights in late May and early June. On our previous visit to Cape Town we had stayed in a 5 star hotel at the other end of town, closer to the waterfront. On this occasion we opted for a boutique hotel and were very pleased by our choice of the Cape Cadogan. Our accomodation was in... More

Cape Cadogan was a wonderful hotel to stay at. I stayed for 5 nights and had 5 days of incredible service and attention. I really appreciate all of the staff for their wonderful help and kindness. The service and attention at this hotel was some of the best i've ever encountered.

We stayed there for four days in mid May as part of a Southern African tour.It is an ideal location away from the tourist areas in a "locals" area with good inexpensive restaurants,an extensive range of shops and no security issues.Downtown is a 10-15 min walk but taxis are plentiful and cheap. Reception and management were friendly and helpful and... More
