The Bishops Court is in an attractive, residential area about 10 minutes drive from central Cape Town in the foothills of Table mountain. The public rooms are welcoming and beautifully frunished; bedrooms are spacious with lovely views over the gardens and the bathrooms just take your breath away they are so beautiful! The staff are first rate being both friendly... more

I have recently stayed here with my fiancee and although this is a lovely boutique hotel there was one incident which I felt was unacceptable during our stay. We had travelled by car with my fiancee's parents and we decided to go to Table Mountain whilst they took the car to do something else. We asked staff to arrange a... more

This was our second stay at The Bishops Court; our last visit being some years ago, and it had been taken over from the original owners, so we were slightly concerned that it would not have been so wonderful. We need not have worried. We stayed in the same room, the glorious room on the upper floor which had a... more

Calling this place a 'bed and breakfast' is a bit misleading, it is a boutique hotel with oinly 5 rooms, all comfortably furnished with great showers. It was formerly a luxury private residence in one of Cape Town's most affluent suburbs (it is surrounded by embassies). Effectively you are being invited into someone's private house, but with excellent unobtrusive staff.... more

We had a lovely time in bishops court over our 4 night stay. The staff are really friendly, and the food is great. The problems we had with the room are below, just in the interests of accuracy... I think the place just needs a few small repairs and it would be fab. I'd stay there again. . All the... more

We stayed here in August for 3 nights. The house is very impressive with an excellant view. It has a swimming pool and tenis courts etc. It is located in a very afluent area. The service was excellant and there are a number of additional extras such as free use of the bar, mini bars etc. Service was excellant and... more

We'd read previous reviews on TripAdvisor and were almost sceptical that a place could have been so unanimously well reviewed. But we needn't have been - it really is a wonderful place, with top notch staff, great room, good food, a stunning view, and terrific service with attention to detail beyond the call of duty. Pick up from airport by... more

If Cape Town is the Gem of South Africa then The Bishops Court truly is the Gem of Cape Town. We stayed here for the first 4 nights of our honeymoon in April and cannot speak highly enough of Paul, Gigi, Damien and the beautiful residence that is The Bishop's Court. From our arrival we were totally looked after in... more
