I reviewed Bayview Guesthouse in 2011, but since then there has been a complete rebuild, though it is still run and owned by Christine, Lulu continues as the star in the kitchen and the amazing views of Table Mountain haven't gone away. But the new Bayview is a completely different place - this wasn't a renovation but a complete rebuild.... More

My friend and I recently stayed in this wonderful guest house and quite honestly it is without doubt one of best I have ever stayed in. Christine and Corinne made us feel very at home and the service and extras were second to none. The house is beautifully renovated and has a stunning view of the bay and Table Mountain.... More

This is a brilliant place. If you are looking for a comfortable, even opulent base from which to explore Cape Town; look no further. Set in a quiet neighbourhood with a relaxed, spacious and clean atmosphere, Bayview is excellent. The,view on waking, of Table Mountain, is worth the cost on its own. Breakfast was delightful and plentiful. Christine runs a... More

We were disheartened to receive zero to little etiquette from the receptionist when calling to inquire about accommodation. Manners go a long way! I can say that I will never stay at this lodging nor will I advise anyone else to!

Thank you again to Christine & Corinne for sharing their fabulous place with us. Stunning and completely renovated with a great view over CT & Table Mountain. Perfectly situated and within walking distance of Kloof street restaurants. We had breakfast at the guesthouse - Lulu is a great cook.

We stayed at Bayview Guest House for a 2-night business trip. The host, Christine, manages the facility with Swiss efficiency, and there was nothing out of place. The breakfast in particular (thanks to the chef) was 5-star quality. All communication was prompt and efficient, and she was waiting for us when we arrived late due to a late flight with... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Bayview. We stayed in the apartment which was gorgeous, clean, modern and stylish. The breakfast in the main house was the highlight of each day. As another reviewer mentioned - you must try the scrambled eggs and bacon made by Lulu - best I've ever had. The staff were lovely. Kind, helpful and friendly.... More

We stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of April. Although many taxi drivers don't know the address, the guest house is a pleasant stroll to the main restaurant area of Cape Town (a steep return, however!) The guest house comprises 2 neighbouring properties, most with amazing views of Table Mountain, the city centre and the Bay. The views from... More

Lovely location, but staff blunt and with poor people skills. It appears one is doing them a favour by staying there.

Bayview is a stylish B&B with fantastic views of Table Mountain and the City. We returned to this guest house because we loved it so much the first time. The breakfasts are great - don't miss the scrambled egg with bacon - and beautifully laid out. Christine has chosen all the art objects around the house with great care creating... More
