I stayed for 2 nights in Lady Hamilton in Cape Town and had an amazing experience. The hotel is in an interesting part of the city but is internally located. The quality and variety of the breakfast was a pleasant surprise. However, I was most taken by the excellent service at the reception - the Lady Hamilton staff really made... More

I stayed a few nights in Lady Hamilton in Cape Town and had a lovely experience. The hotel is in an interesting part of the city and in a good location. The room and other facilities were to my expectation and the quality of the breakfast was a pleasant surprise. However, I was most taken by the excellent service at... More

The front desk staff was very friendly and the buffet breakfast was fine. The rooms were clean. From there it goes downhill. From the rip in the bedroom curtain to the furniture in the lounge which have seen many, many better days, the hotel is missing out on an opportunity to attract as it is reasonably well situated. Stayed there... More

This hotel is very dated and in need of some upgrades. The location is pretty good - close to some great restaurants and bars but not too close to the tourist spots. The room wasn't as comfortable as we would have liked and the windows wouldn't lock which was a bit of a security concern as we were on the... More

Retuning from an over landing trip, the hostel accommodation offered, was not good, so we looked close by and found this quaint place. It may not be the Ritz, but the staff were friendly and cheerful, the food fresh and tasty. The rooms were basic but adequate. We found it easy to access the city and in a quiet safe... More

Who knew that Cape Town & TripAdvisor could have such old, ugly, untidy, dilapidated accommodation listed as an option. Let alone the poor location, but the messy carpets, unprofessional staff who were not coherent and couldn't generate an invoice for payment for parking in the basement flooded and with lumps of concrete as the ground. They also couldn't advise on how... More

a bit pricey if you travel alone but a good option if you are desperate for a night on your own room. it is a 3* hotel so don't expect too much. The rooms are ok but you can hear the other guests passing in the corridor. The wifi is only in the lodge. The staff comes in the kinds:... More

I have nothing to compare in Cape Town, so I might say it was ok for the money. Good location, some night life nearby. Ok breakfast, the selection of breads was marvelous! I can't name any other place where they have that many bread options, and extremely tasty. Nothing special about other breakfast items, but at least one good thing.... More

This is a cheap tourist hotel, and you get what you pay for. The rooms are very basic, but if you only need a clean bed, it is ok. Be prepared to share the breakfast room and lobby with bus loads of overseas tourists, which makes it rather noisy and crowded. I stayed here on a business trip, because everything... More
