Retuning from an over landing trip, the hostel accommodation offered, was not good, so we looked close by and found this quaint place. It may not be the Ritz, but the staff were friendly and cheerful, the food fresh and tasty. The rooms were basic but adequate. We found it easy to access the city and in a quiet safe... More

Who knew that Cape Town & TripAdvisor could have such old, ugly, untidy, dilapidated accommodation listed as an option. Let alone the poor location, but the messy carpets, unprofessional staff who were not coherent and couldn't generate an invoice for payment for parking in the basement flooded and with lumps of concrete as the ground. They also couldn't advise on how... More

a bit pricey if you travel alone but a good option if you are desperate for a night on your own room. it is a 3* hotel so don't expect too much. The rooms are ok but you can hear the other guests passing in the corridor. The wifi is only in the lodge. The staff comes in the kinds:... More

I have nothing to compare in Cape Town, so I might say it was ok for the money. Good location, some night life nearby. Ok breakfast, the selection of breads was marvelous! I can't name any other place where they have that many bread options, and extremely tasty. Nothing special about other breakfast items, but at least one good thing.... More

This is a cheap tourist hotel, and you get what you pay for. The rooms are very basic, but if you only need a clean bed, it is ok. Be prepared to share the breakfast room and lobby with bus loads of overseas tourists, which makes it rather noisy and crowded. I stayed here on a business trip, because everything... More

I stayed there at the end of a G Adventure tour. Lady Hamilton is a relatively cheap hotel needing to be freshened-up. I had a single room on the 4th floor... without an elevator!! The room was relatively small and the bathroom is tiny. The shower cabinet was not perfectly clean. The room had some sort of view towards the... More

I agree with the other reviewers. This is not a luxury hotel by any means and is in need of a makeover, however the location close to ATMs, supermarkets, restaurants and bars on Kloof Street, do in my, opinion make up for the lack of luxury. I stayed here for two nights prior to commencing a tour with G Adventures.... More

We've been visiting the hotel since 2006, usually on our own. Staff are friendly but sadly the hotel is now in need of updating and redecoration. This time we had a visitor with us, disabled, and the hotel did meet the request for a ground-floor room. However, it was tiny and we had to nudge the bed to allow reasonable... More

The booking.com website said the hotel had an airport shuttle bus but my email inquiring went unanswered. An airport taxi took 20 mins and cost about £15. The hotel is close to ATMs, a supermarket, restaurants and bars on Kloof St, the Mt Nelson hotel Hop On/Off bus stop and Company Gardens. My room was reasonably sized and equipped including... More

We stayed at the Lady Hamilton Hotel for 3 nights before leaving for Johannesburg. The rooms are basic and simple, with decent beds and pillows. But the bathroom was really tiny - and its door wouldn't even shut properly. Wifi was only confined to the lobby - which was a bit of a pain for me since I can't access... More
