This was a nice clean hotel. the check in was easy with welcome drinks and snacks given. the rooms were fine except the tv could have been bigger. the view on one side was of the table mountain and the other side of the waterfront so it was a dream view. there was a shuttle every hour to the waterfront... more
I only had a one night stay but would defo opt for this hotel again The building itself is tall so getting a room on a higher floor presents great views. However, the location is a bit dodgy becasue walking in the streets of cape town is dangerous. The staff at reception were amazingly friendly and on arriving we were... more
Cape Sun - Southern Sun Cape Sun in Cape Town was just what we wanted in Cape Town. Great view of Table Mountain. We needed a central location with clean rooms and helpful staff. Perfect. We did many activities in Cape Town so we did not spend much time at the hotel. Breakfast each morning was great - good food... more
Had a truly memorable stay at this luxurious hotel. Staff were amazing, and its the hundreds of little touches that sets this one apart. Not the newest of buildings, but very well maintained. located in city centre, has marvelous mountain or city views. cant decide what I enjoyed most,; breathtaking view of table mountain from my bed / excellent staff... more

Initially we had booked in for a... more

Points to note: - felt very luxurious - staff were really helpful & nice. - Breakfast was fantastic, with a huge buffet & a chef to prepare your fried eggs/omelettes etc - well... more

I've been to Cape Town many times and experienced Radisson Waterfront, Park Inn Green Market Square and V&A Waterfront. I mean Radisson is great but it cost three times what I pay here. I booked directly on the hotels web page and got a room with... more
This hotel used to be a Holiday Inn and is now the Southern Sun Cape Sun. This is a four-star hotel with five-star service. My family and I stayed in a family room for four nights, beautiful view of Table Mountain, sofabed for our daughter, and empty fridge for children's snacks. Despite its perhaps boring international design (it could be... more
