A great place for your stay in Cape Town. Very, very safe environment. Location was the best. Everything was clean, beds were very comfortable, the staff could not do enough for you. They would help you buy and print your tickets for Table Mountain or anything you wanted to do before leaving for your days activities. They arranged airport transfers... More

My wife and I stayed here for our first trip to Cape Town. The location is very convenient and the room was nice. A few really good restaurants just around the corner. We enjoyed their breakfast too. However the service can be improved a lot. Especially when compared to service we got at other places in South Africa. Ladies serving... More

I stayed at the Walden House with my wife and it was great. We had room #1, which faced the garden area in the front. The gate made us feel very secure and our room was quiet at night. The room was very large there were tons of windows, which made the room cool and bright. The bathroom had a... More

Highly recommend a stay at Walden House. All of the staff were friendly and attentive making sure we had a fantastic time. This place was recommended to me by my Southern African Tour Operator - Greenlife Africa. It was a wonderful suggestion. I enjoyed staying in a neighbourhood (Tamboerskloof) that was new to me and having a new area to explore as well as being in walking distance to Long St, The Company Gardens etc. There were a lot of really good... Really beautiful building, nicely decorated throughout, great breakfast / breakfast area and a safe place to park your (rental) car. We stayed in room 6, which is I believe one of the smaller rooms they have, but it had a nice romantic and beachy feel and was clean. We enjoyed the good shower and the freshly baked cookies / cakes... More

Service and cleanliness were top-notch. One evening we arrived soaked. They put our stuff in the dryer, though they don't ordinarily provide laundry services. Minor: 2 showers not necessary, more living space & a second suitcase stand better.

Our stay in Cape Town was wonderful and this hotel was the best place to be. The good was excellent and the staff were amazing. Location was very convenient to good restaurants and the view of table mountain was an added bonus.
