Great value for money, especially for couples. Excellent location which is within walking distance of great restaurants and bars but also close to the waterfront. The rooms are furnished well and have good sized bathrooms. The staff is friendly and breakfast a good spread.

The fritz is in a great spot, has loads of character and is very clean and staff a friendly and helpful. We stayed 5 nights, no complaints, but didn't realize there was hot breakfast available until the 3rd day, but cold buffet is lovely anyway.

We stayed here in March for 3 nights and have to say we probably couldn't have got a better option in terms of value for money to stay in Cape Town. The hotel is run by Arthur, a very welcoming Swiss, who organised us a wonderful tour. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast includes everything you need. The hotel... More

A beautiful little guesthouse in a central location with lots of nightlife and restaurants near by. A lovely old house converted to rooms with antique mix and match furniture and squeaky wood floors. A comfy sitting room and small breakfast area on the first floor with friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful smorg breakfast every morning.

You wouldn't find a better *** Accommodation in Cape Town. It's centrally located in easy walking distance to Long Street. Some rooms offer a good view to the top of Table Mountain or Lyons Head. The Hotel has nice Art Deco furniture. All rooms have a individual character, some with balcony. Nice breakfast buffet with fruits, cheese, meat, cereals, eggs...... More

Quiet, parking in front of the hotel. Safe area and in walking distance to Cape Town's most interesting touristic area on Long Street. Very nice atmosphere in the hotel. Large lobby. German/Swiss style breakfast with good bread and Swiss cheese and meat (Buendner Fleisch, e.g.). Had a very enjoyable stay despite very poor weather (storm and rain)

Stayed at the Fritz the second time in 5 years. Nothing has changed, I mean nothing. Bathroom and room were clean but are in desperate need of updating. Lights, curtains, floor coverings, all look ancient. Staff is friendly but more interested in watching TV than assisting guests. However, once asked for info will find the information. If you plan to... More

The Fritz was more like a hostel. The room smelled horribly like smoke and made my clothes smell like smoke. the rug on the floor was really dirty. The toilet is in a closet and was gross. Honestly I felt dirty being in the room. And since it was World Cup time it wasn't even that cheap. There are soooo... More

We spent 4 nights at the Fritz and found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffets. The hotel is a little older, and could use a little updating, but for the price you get a comfortable place in a great location. The only criticism I could really offer is that the rooms (at... More
