My partner and I stayed here for a total of 4 nights when we were in Cape Town for a wedding last October. We found it through Trip Advisor and completely agreed with all the amazing reviews. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, recommending some excellent restaurants in the area. The house is beautifully decorated, and the atmosphere is... more

My husband and I stayed here in October last year during a 2 week holiday across South Africa. We had a really lovely time, the rooms were well priced, clean, tidy and the place is nicely decorated throughout depicting a townhouse style. Visitors have access to free internet in the reception area and the breakfasts were amazing. Staff are friendly... more

There's a reason this place gets its great ratings. We had a wonderful time here. The location was great, the room was comfortable and decor was very nice. The owners had many thoughtful conveniences. We had a rental car and only once did we have to park down the street. The breakfast was wonderful, with variety during our stay. We... more

This is an attractive, well-located small hotel that is attractive, well-maintained, and carefully managed. The rooms are large, and well-appointed, though not luxurious. It is generally quiet, though I found the noise of the air-conditioners troublesome on some nights. The staff is incredible: courteous, intelligent, and thoughtful, with good recommendations and connections for sight-seeing. The place has an atmosphere unto... more

Agree with most reviews about this place. A home away from home. All the help we got where and what to do. Unfortunately we had really bad weather while in Capetown, but rooms are big enough for stay ins. Not to talk about the public areas. There was so many small extras even if you didn't use them it gave... more

My boyfriend and I have been traveling the past two months throughout South America and South Africa – we’ve stayed at some of the most expensive and nicest five star resorts, but I have to say that An African Villa was one of the most charming and unique experiences. We stayed for three nights in a deluxe room upstairs (#A4),... more

Managed to visit 2 of the top 10 eataries in Cape Town. Bought lovely soft furnishing from the hotel to take back to the UK..... THIS... more

We were delighted with our 4 night stay at An African Villa in early May. From the yummy breakfast, to the convenient honesty bar snacks, to the short, safe walk to nearby restaurants -- everything from a food angle was fantastic. We also loved the in-room free WiFi, the cheap and easy laundry service, and the central location. The owners... more

Hi all, we stayed at the Villa recently... and whilst it is ok... it is what it is... a B&B at best... not a full blown hotel. Sure, the hosts are very helpful and friendly...and yes, it is decorated ok, .. but look closely if you go, and you will see lots of decorating "quirks" and unfinished or badly finished... more
