We have little to add to the many excellent reviews submitted for An African Villa. This was a return visit for us, the last over 5years ago and the standards and friendliness have been maintained, not an easy task over this period of time. Exceptional attention to detail, a wonderful way of dealing with their guests, and an ability to... More

We stayed 3 nights in this amazing B&B on our first trip ever to Cape Town. Me and my partner picked this place because of the great reviews on trip advisor. We had room number 2 with we truly loved, bed was comfy and room very clean. Enjoyed the staff with was very helpful and gave us good ideas on... More

Cozy B&B in a nice quiet residential location, about 3 block walk to restaurants and 30-40 minute walk to waterfront. Owners on site and very friendly and helpful, creatively decorated, delicious hot breakfast to order served outside in the courtyard as weather permits, small pool to cool off in the afternoon. A self service honor kitchen and complimentary cake and... More

Stayed at An African Villa with my family beginning of Jan 2016. Excellent value for the Money and a "home away from home". Very friendly owners and staff and the location in a quite residential area yet close to all bars and restaurants in Kloof street is great!

An African Villa is a guesthouse consisting of several connected two storey buildings in Cape style. It is tastefully decorated with African art and folklore objects. You can enjoy a very good breakfast by the pool (admittedly rather small but that doesn't matter much) served by the most kind ladies working in an open kitchen. When you need a bottle... More

Staying at An African Villa was absolutely one of the best experiences I've had as a traveler. Louis, Cindy, and their staff make it a point to get to know each of their guests individually and make them feel at home. However, you never feel smothered— guests are encouraged to come and go as they please, and use the space... More

This is a lovely boutique hotel in Cape Town, situated in a peaceful residential area close to Kloof Street and numerous shops, bars and restaurants. An African Villa is clearly a labour of love and the owners appear to take great pride in their property. The staff are lovely, the rooms well maintained and modern. Wifi was free and pretty... We - a family of seven adults - spent 4 nights in late December. Very nice and personal atmosphere and great breakfasts. The small yard (with swimming pool - size small) was perfect for a refreshing drink from the honesty bar. Also the breakfasts (very good) were served there. Many nice restaurants in the neighbourhood, and 15 minutes by Taxi,... More

Typical Cape elegance in 3 converted Victorian villas give this boutique guest house delightful character. But it's the staff and owners who give all their enthusiasm and dedication that makes this place really special. Rooms are very comfortable (mine had a stunning view across Cape roofs to Table Mountain); cooked breakfast is made to order and there's a convenient honesty... More

This small guesthouse is three terrace houses knocked-through to create an intimate, charming place to stay in CT. an easy walk to Kloof Street's bars and restaurants, yet very peaceful and relaxing so a good night's sleep is guaranteed. The interior has been beautifully designed with local touches but not a cliche. Staff are very friendly and relaxed. There is... More
