We stayed here for 2 nights when we first arrived in Cape Town. We arrived at night and were shown around by the charming night porter. Our immediate reaction was 'WOW! what a great place!' and 'so Africa' with it's decor. Breakfast each day (in the courtyard on the fine day, and in the dining room on the rainy day)... More

Great B&B .Very calming after hectic days sightseeing. The free sherry was a nice touch & the decorations were very tasteful. Run by a very well oiled machine for whom nothing is too much trouble. Plenty of great eating houses close by & with Signal Hill as a backdrop what more can you say.

We stayed in An African Villa for 5 nights in end February. We drove in from Franschhoek & reached the villa at about 7.30pm in the evening. Parking on the street is challenging as its uphill & packed with cars but we managed. The night porter helped us with our bags & we were shown into our room on the... More

Dear travelbugDelhi Thank you for taking the time to bring some issue to our attention that you experienced during your stay. We can only rectify and improve on our offering when guests give us feedback. I am a bit puzzled about the point you raised such as parking in a challenging uphill area. Finding parking in front or near the... More

Very friendly and helpful team that run the place. We had two early starts so missed the cook breakfast, but when we did make breakfast on our last day, man did we miss out! They did pack us off on our early starts with a light breakfast. Location is great, quiet and a 5-10min walk from a great restaurant strip.... More

This B&B was elegant, relaxing, charming and comfortable. Just what we needed after a long flight, and again after a 5-day trek on the Cape peninsula. The staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations on where to eat, and helped us to book. It felt like a home from home.

Very sad that my husband and I only got to stay here one night at the beginning of our South African holiday. What a gem it is! Had the choice of 2 rooms when we arrived (early). Louis couldn't have been more helpful with showing us around the guest house and suggesting places to go. We had a very peaceful... More

Our first stay was just over 3 years ago and we enjoyed it so much we were sure to return during our next trip to Cape Town. It is such a welcoming place! I'm sure we taxed the patience of our hosts as we arrived early in the morning after getting off a cruise and required them to store our... More

In a suburban street close to the centre, this hotel is in a leafy, quiet location. We would usually stay in a big hotel, but I am very glad we gave this a go. 3 spacious interconnecting Victorian terraces which huge rooms and high ceilings, it just has a lovely friendly but not intrusive feel to it. Taxis were easy... More

This lovely hotel is tucked away in a quiet side street, a close walk to reataurants and bars. Rooms are great and we had a fabulous view of Table Mountain. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was fresh and yummy.

Having toured the garden route we decided on completing our South African experience by spending 6 days in Cape Town. Three nights in An African Villa because of its ideal location for exploring the city and Table mountain, The following three nights being spent in Camps Bay as a good base for the peninsular tour and generally chilling out before... Hi Paul & Sharon, I was deeply distressed receiving the call from our night porter on the Monday night, advising us of the incident that had just taken place. We immediately went through to the Villa to render any assistance we could. Fortunately the police were already in attendance and took down the statements on site. Many cities around the... More
