First visit to SA and arrived hours behind schedule (read Premier Classe Train review message if need be) and Louis didn't seem at all out of patience. Called several times, wasn't certain but I really thought we had to cancel, ended up not but arrived close to 1am. Forgive my misplacing his name, but begins with S and happily introduced... More

What a fantastic place. An African Villa was just the ticket. First, the breakfast was more than one could hope for. Hot or cold selections, fruit, native juices, good coffee, you name it. Cold items served in the kitchen so you got to meet the breakfast staff every morning and they were super. Second, rooms were very nice and we... More

We stayed in March 2015 for about a week to explore the city and the surroundings. We had a large room with balcony facing the street (very quiet) for us and our daughter. The B&B is a real gem! At least one of the owners is in the office every day, helping and advising the guests with everything and anything.... More

We had a very comfortable stay here despite the quirks of an older property that has been extensively remodeled. We had a front room with a full balcony, but the street noise was minimal. It was large with two armoires for clothing, a desk, two chairs with small end tables. The shower was elevated with doors that met at the... More

A perfect place to stay in Cape Town! Keith gave us an extensive overview of the city upon our arrival, and both he & Louis (French pronunciation: "Louie") had terrific suggestions of what to do & how to do it to take advantage of Cape Town. Lovely decor; port & sherry await you upon your return at night. We loved... More

We stayed as a couple for 2 nights at the end of April. Charming, well-kept and wonderfully designed property located in a safe, residential neighbourhood, but close to many quality restaurants as well as Kloof and Long Streets. Spacious rooms. Lovely common areas and the honesty bar was most welcome. Excellent breakfast. But best of all were the exceptional hosts... More

We stayed at the Villa for 3 nights middle of April. I researched Cape Town hotels for hours, generally we shy away from chain hotels and anything larger than 50 rooms. There are a LOT of choices in Cape Town, but as soon as we entered the Villa, we knew we made the right decision. As another reviewer wrote, it... More

Traveled as a group of 12 friends. An African Villa certainly met our expectations based on previous reviews. Spacious lounge areas, a nice patio with a small pool, views of Table Mountain. Port and Sherry served every evening.Large airy bedrooms with coffee, tea, water and cookies, comfortable beds. Special requests were no problem, breakfast was delicious. Would stay again.

My mum and I stayed in a silver room at An African Villa for 5 nights. The room was very nice, clean and towards the back, so just perfect for us. Everyone was very friendly and answered all our questions and queries patiently and quickly. The area seemed very quiet and is close to Table Mountain. It is also not... More

We stayed at an African Villa for four nights in mid-April 2015. This guest house/bed and breakfast is non other than 'exceptional'. With the help of Jimmy, Louis, Keith and Cindy from booking us on tours, recommending restaurants and to giving us directions we discovered the wonders of Cape Town. Our room was comfortable, quiet, clean and spacious. All the... More
