Kensington Place was everything we hoped for from reading the other reviews - wonderful location, views of Cape Town and Table Mountain from the room and fantastic service. The hotel is a lovely part of Cape Town, with the nice cafes and shops of Kloof Street just five minutes away, while also being on a quiet road. The interior of... More

We ended our 3 week trip in Africa at this wonderful hotel at the base of Table Mountain for 3 nights. It was like coming home....after an exhausting 2 weeks on safari. From the greeting at the gate by Mark, and his swiftness with which a drink appeared in your hands, and the easy end of the day banter make... More

i have travelled across the middle east from Cape Town to Paris, oh my gosh South African hotels or Kensington Place for that matter excel in all aspects from amazing food, service to fanatastic room and design. I looked at the top ranking hotels in the tripadvisor Cape Town and physically inspected them for the few days that I was... More

This hotel was the first stop on our honeymoon and to say it was perfect is an understatement. Every whim/demand/request you could imagine was catered for and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were wonderful, food was fantastic and location lovely - fantastic views of Table Mountain. Chic boutique DEFINTELY fits. If we return to Caoe Town, we'll be... More

This boutique hotel, located at the top of Kloof Street, at the base of Table Mountain, was extremely comfortable. The location, in a residential area, was within walking distance of midtown, yet was quiet and away from the bustle of the Waterfront. Our room was very spacious, with a sitting area. There were two balconies with beautiful views. The room... More

This is only our second time here, but feels like you're going home. Nicely placed at the top of Kloof St, we normally go out into Cape Town for a meal and then walk all the way back up Kloof (takes about 25 mins stroll, but its a hill!) - we must have done it 3-4 times, and never feel... More

Stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. The service was fantastic and personalised and the little touches made the real difference. They reserve tables at some of the best restaurants "just in case" before you even arrive, they have in room wi-fi but actually provide a laptop in the room too, they have sun cream and insect repellant along... Consistently the very best boutique hotel in the world. Location, staff, decor and sensitivity all rate 11/10.

Absolutley fell in love with place, the staff were so friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them to help you with. The hotel was immaculate and the breakfasts were divine and served all day, which was great if you needed an early or late start. Can't wait to return!

We stayed at Kensington Place for 3 nights, and it was perfect. Sasha was great, very welcoming, very helpful, couldn't ask for more. She had organised every restuarant, taxis there/back, nightlife, and day trips. Great recommendations and certainly made the stay exceptionally stress free! The recommendations she made were perfect. All the other staff were great as well, I enquired... More
