Kensington Place was the first stop on our honeymoon, and we could not have kicked off our amazing trip at a more welcoming and friendly hotel. The level of service was outstanding! The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful, from arranging transportation for our excursions to suggesting modifications to our itinerary to maximize the pockets of nice weather at... More

We spent four nights in Cape Town at Kensington Place and could not have been happier with the service or accommodations! Although this is a small boutique hotel (only 8 guest rooms), the personal service is excellent and rivals what you would find at much larger, high-end hotels. We notified them that we'd be arriving near midnight on a Saturday... More

Upon being greeted with a delicious glass of wine, we immediately were made to feel right at home. We were shown to our fabulous room with an amazing views and heated floors made our stay perfect. Reservations had been made for us in advance at some of the best and most popular restaurants in the city. Any questions we had... More

From the moment we were greeted by Corbus with a glass of wine and warm fire to Austin programming our Tom Tom for our next destination, we were treated like special friends. Corbus, Michael and Austin attended to every detail of our stay. The restaurant choices were excellent (especially The Test Kitchen!) Our personal guide, Baker was another excellent choice!... More

Wonderful boutique experience. Fantastic staff. Great breakfast. And close enough to everything you would need to see. Of course terrific view of table mountain. Provided us with a light snack too, upon our late arrival.

We loved our location as it was a quick walk to restaurants and shopping plus views of Table Mountain. The only issue we had was our room. It was the only one on the main floor and therefore we did not have a view and it was really dark. Staff were friendly, breakfast was really good and the fresh juice... More

What a way to start our 3 week adventure in Africa! Kensington was part of a package put together for us by Ultimate Africa Safaris and it was over the top. Right at the foot of Table Mountain and within easy walking distance of great restaurants on Kloof St. and Long St. Breakfast is included and was excellent. Try the... More

In a nice residential area, almost walking distance to the tram station and definitely walking distance to nearby restaurants, plus downtown. Elegant small hotel. Impeccable service. Quite high end! We spent 5 nights. They had made dinner reservations in advance which were just the type of places we'd choose, quite impressive. A couple of nights we'd had long days, so... More

Great botique hotel, unique styling and a little bit of luxury. Our room had a sunken bath looking out to a pond, which was cool. Liked the underfloor heating and the relaxing feel of the room. The veranda with patio chairs was nice too, although we didnt use it. Breakfast were fabulous, loved the granola!! Jo Malone in the reception... More

This boutique hotel is out of this world. Beautiful views. Large rooms. Wonderful and very helpful staff. Good restaurant suggestions/reservations. The hotel is located at the base of Table Mountain, in the Gardens area. It's about a 10 min cab ride to the V&A waterfront ($6-$10 cab ride). Breakfast was included and was very very good - we had dinner... More
