This is a perfect place to stay at if you want to visit Cape Town (by train, 30mins), Cape of Good Hope (30mins by taxi) and there are also plenty of nice bars/restaurant in Simons Town for eating and socialising. more

We wanted to spend a couple of nights on the peninsula to explore the area and chose Simons' Town as a base in between visiting the Winelands and Cape Town. Great several days here touring the area. The staff could not have been nicer and more helpful. If you take a cab, however, note that they run on Africa time--not USA time--give them a while to get you!!! For food- The Meeting Place has GREAT food. more

we stayed in this hotel for 6 days in oct 2008, we stayed in the victorian suite which was a massive apartment with every thing you need, clean sheets fluffy towels, great views over harbour. the hotel does no food but plenty of restaurants next door for breakfast/ dinner. hotel change was £74 a night. apartment had 2 bathrooms handy... more
