This is an old gem in the city's core, a haven to be part of all city activities but which you can escape to when you feel like it. Sitting at the pool, you would not even realise all the bustling city activities occurring just over the wall. Being across the road from the Cape Town International Conference Centre implies... more

I've stayed at The Cullinan a few times and it's my hotel of choice in Cape Town whether on business or leisure. The reception staff are always pleasant as are the porters and concierge. In the mornings there's always a pianist or harpist playing in the rather grand lobby and the breakfast is brilliant if you've the time to enjoy.... more

We had booked to stay at the Icon Hotel but due to an electrical fault in our room they transfered us to the The Cullinan Hotel. This Hotel had the wow factor as you walked into the hotel. Everything about this hotel was pure elegance. The staff made sure that you where looked after very well. The Hotel had it's... more

We stayed 6 nights at The Cullinan in Cape Town after our trip to Sabi Sands. All the staff were really friendly, including the Reception manager who was so patient with me when I asked to change the room. Breakfast was great, everything you would want and more. Bar staff were really nice. After the second day the concierge knew... more

Walking into the lobby of the Cullinan is like a blast from the past. From the top hats and tails of the concierges to the man playing the grand piano and the lady playing the harp to the marble pillars and huge vases of proteas, the lobby area was amazing. After checking in, our luggage was delivered to our room... more

Getting used to the British standard of service, the Cullinan was a pleasant discovery - an efficient, friendly excellent standard of service, all provided with a smile. A short stay - for a conference at the nearby convention centre, but one which would be a pleasure to repeat. more

I went on a tour of South Africa with a tour group, Globus. This hotel was very neat, clean, and comfortable. I only stayed three nights but during that time I was very happy there. The staff were all very helpful and accomodating. The little pool and courtyard area was absolutely beautiful but due to chilly weather I only looked... more

I stayed at the Cullinan for 14 days during a business trip to Cape Town. The hotel is located in a short walking distance to the conference centre, the harbour and the city centre. The service is quite good, the staff is kind and provides great service, but the rooms are a bit old and quite small. more

My partner was on business in Cape Town and I went along for the ride, so we had no say in where we stayed. Did we luck out. The hotel is located near the waterfront which is great. It is a traditionally modern hotel - very nice public rooms. Our room was slightly smaller than we are used to but... more
