Central location. I had 2 rooms: 1 was tiny and noisy, the other was quiet but an almost blind window. Breakfast seemed large but poor choice. Some staff was friendly. Bathrooms not arranged "logically".

Great location. Central to everything. A great market in Greenmarket Square for all your tourist buys. Just off Long Street which is a party street. 20 minute walk to V&A Waterfront for great international shopping and food. Good variety at breakfast. WIFI broken. Unfriendly staff Super bedroom with a balcony

We have enjoyed several stays at the Tudor. Our prior visits were in higher end Hotels but they felt cold and lacked the personality of the Tudor. Yes.. it is dated but the location can't be beat and the staff are friendly, helpful and honest. The family room is excellent but it is unquestionably noisier than rooms at the back.... More

A last-minute booking as we needed a place to sleep. That's what we got, but considering the price it wasn't worthwhile. Noise from the street very noticeable. The entire place feels run down and dirty. Actally really visibly dirty. Ironically, the bathroom felt like the most fresh place in the room. Until we found a cockroach in it. There wasn't... More

Stayed in a family suite at the Tudor on a Saturday night. The bathroom was dirty, no hot water in the hand basin, not enough towels, had to ask for soap and the shower door was hanging off. Two of the bedside lamps did not work and the beds were creaky. The double room overlooking the street was very noisy... More

I have stayed at this hotel on five different occasions from 2007 to 2014. The staff remains consistent and on my visit February 2014 they remembered me from previous stay. The rooms are simple but clean and reasonably priced. The full buffet breakfast is excellent and as soon as walking in dining room, your coffee (the way you drink it)... More

I really enjoyed my stay at the Tudor Hotel; everything was good about it. The staff were helpful, the breakfast tremendous (fish cakes and chicken nuggets for breakfast at 53 is blinking marvellous), the rooms quaint, clean and functional. The location was spot on for exploring central Cape Town; the area being lively with bars and restaurants. And you cannot... More

My husband and I stayed at the Tudor Hotel in July 2014. The hotel is fine - nothing fancy but provides a place to sleep and a decent breakfast. On our second night however we had a big scare at 4am. My husband woke up to someone in our room, trying to steal one of our bags (which held passports... More

Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the Tudor Hotel because of its spacious rooms and great location. It's a great bargain too. The family room (103) was great for three kids ( could accommodate 4) with two separate rooms sharing a bathroom. Though it was on the street side, at least in June, the street noise was not bad. The... More

Just returned from a weekend stay at this property. Excellent location for a tourist to the city. Well positioned right on Greenmarket Square and next to Long Street. All the tourist attractions in the heart of the city is within walking distance, so id highly recommend this hotel for that reason. The building itself is quaint and small. Has an... More
