We have just returned from 5 days at this accommodation. It is not a hotel but vacation apartments converted from private apartments. It is situated on a noisy main road. There was no ac or fan in the bedroom so we had to have the window open continuously and suffer the noise. The pool only had sun for a few... more

My wife and I used the Sir Francis for the first four nights of a 10 day trip to South Africa. This was going to be our base for the stay in Cape Town. Firstly it is easy to find, secondly it is only a 15 min stroll to the V&A Waterfront. The accomodation was good with roomy self catering... more

Stayed here for 4 nights. If you want luxury or comfort, you might want to opt for something nicer. If you are travelling on a budget but want something not too cramped but rather spacious, this can work. It is self-catering meaning no bellmen/porters, you have a kitchen - it is basically like a small apartment. Breakfast is a full-breakfast,... more

If considering this hotel, please call beforehand to check what facilities they have as over half of them are non existent. There is no childrens pool, no health club, no spa etc. The furniture consists of chipped MDF and the general maintenance of the room is very poor indeed. Please see pictures. We found hairs in one of the draws,... more

My Partner and I have just returned form a great stay at this complex. To the point, we actually returned to the complex after visiting PE. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Admittedly the rooms are not air conditioned, but when you can open the windows and get a grerat sea breeze, who needs air-con? The pool is, to... more

We have just returned from spending 9 nights at the Sir Francis. We found all the staff very helpful at all times, nothing appeared to be too much trouble for them. The suites are basic but spacious (lounge, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and balcony). The beds are comfortable, with linen change twice a week and towels are changed daily. The bedrooms... more

Having looked forward to our trip to Cape Town for many months it was devastating, after a night flight and a long wait for a hire car at the airport, to arrive at the Sir Francis to realise that we had made a grave error with our hotel booking. On their website the hotel looks okay, but nothing prepared us... more

Stayed here for 8 nights in April & had a comfortable & pleasant stay. Very big plus point is that the staff & owner are very friendly, helpful & efficient. Each suite comprises of bedroom, kitchen, bathroom & living room with sofa bed. Rooms are basic but spacious & clean, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. Kitchen has... more
