This hotel is situated in a prime location, near to the hustle and bustle of the Waterfront without being too close. What more could you ask for.... There were various issues we had upon arrival. We arrived as a group and had our bags marked with stickers and permanent marker- fine if they are writing on the sticker, not so... More

This hotel was located in quiet environment while being a stone throw away from major tourist attractions like the boisterous and charming Waterfront, the aquarium and bus tour office. I found it particularly great that it was almost next door to the University of Cape Town where I had a one week program; I literally felt I had the best... More

A group of 12 from Oman and some other countries stayed for 3 days in the hotel . Our bookings and rooms where ready at arrival with no less than 4 check -in assistants. Our luggage and vehicle where taken care of immediately. The rooms are clean and practical. The lift is a little slow and not so new. Breakfast... More

Hotel has great service and rooms are of good quality. The staff make a tremendous effort. The location of hotel makes it if you want to explore the waterfronts restaurants and shops it is close and safe. Springbok museum with in 2 minutes for hotel. Breakfast excellent

Close to Waterfront without being subject to noise. Parking good. Hotel decent standard. Menu at bar and restaurant decent enough. Staff friendly and helpful, although sometimes a bit slow with service.

The siting of the Commodore is a great benefit. It's quiet but the Waterfront is minutes away and so is the booking office and depot for the buses that provide a great bargain of two-day tickets taking you to a wide range of sight-seeing opportunities including the Botanic Gardens, Table Mountain cable car, sunset at Signal Hill and the city... If you're looking for luxury then look elsewhere but we stayed here for six nights in March and were extremely satisfied.Room was comfortable & spacious with a great view of Table Mountain. Air conditioning unit was ridiculously noisy ,so much so that we couldn't keep it on at night. Pity as temperatures were quite high during our stay. Breakfast was... More

Its bad enough that the temperature goes directly from lukewarm to scalding hot but the tub is narrow and curved at the bottom giving you a feeling of insecurity when you're standing in it. In addition to these problems, the glass bathtub screen goes only halfway across the tub and only reaches 5 feet above the floor. The result is... More

We spent a weekend here for our anniversary and really enjoyed it. We booked one of the suite on the 5th floor which had a balcony with 180 degree views of waterfront. It was simply amazing! The staff were wonderful and gave a complimentary box of chocolates and bottle of wine for our anniversary. But the best part of this... More
