My trip to Cape Town started really bad when another hotel somehow lost our reservation and found us a room to accomodate us at the Ritz. When I read the reviews online I freaked out of course but then I was surprised how the trip turned out. We had issues with the room they first gave us so they made... More

Manual check in system, no updated list, no access to online system, could not locate my reservation, extremely rude was the night clerk, slack and unprofessional, sloppy, lazy, unhelpful. No concierge, no directions where to park Foyer smells of cigarettes and stale food Front desk manned by one man who is sloppy, unkempt, no manners Front desk is shabby, messy,... More

Good location , ideal for short stay, revolving restaurant on the top floor with nice view, live music. The hotel is dirty - a bit used, managemenet does not take care. Safe in room did not work. I do not recommend to longer stay.

This hotel is well located a short walk from the sea front and a good walk or short taxi ride from the V&A Waterfront. The reception staff were all very helpful so finding our bearings at a new location was easy. They have their own tourist office to arrange any trip or book a taxi (take the advice of the... More

First time reviewer. I don't normally write reviews but had to in order to spread the word about these horrible accommodations. Over the last 13 years, I've stayed in over 40 hotels/motels/hostels, all over the world (usa, France, london, ireland, Amsterdam, India, Thailand, Canada, Latin America, etc. ) and this has to be the worst hotel that I have ever... This review would have been scathing if it were not for Sasha the new manageress. She is amazing and turned what swaps a nit are into a lovely stay which we extended. Why booked two Executive Suites for a stay in Feb and by the time I arrived my colleague had already refused to stay (and to pay up front?!)... More

I had read some reviews on the hotel that was less than favorable so I was quite nervous. All my concerns disappeared once we arrived and was very pleased with the service, the room and the hotel in general. The breakfast had a great variety and catered to my daughter's fussy eating habits. We had a very comfortable stay at... More

Having recently stayed at the Cape Town ritz for 2 weeks I think some reviews are a little unfair. I found the hotel staff very welcoming and friendly and that courtesy from guests go a long way. Excellent location V & A long street and Clifton and camps bay all within a short car journey. The hotel could do with... More

The condition of the communal areas is really the only thing you can complain about. They are in desperate need of updating and renovating including the elevators. The rooms are modern and spacious and have everything you need and expect. The shower has excellent pressure. The staff are professional and friendly. There is a lovely swimming pool and great views... More

An average package tour hotel, conveniently situated. We were on the 20th Floor which gave excellent views over Sea Point, and was quiet. The pool area was normally OK, as was breakfast, but both could become very stretched given an influx of noisy guests, which the hotel seemed unable or unwilling to control. Fine as a base from which to... More
