Travelling with a group we spent three nights at this hotel centrally located in Cape Town. It was walking distance to the Museum, the Common Garden, and the church where Desmond Tutu occasionally preaches. A good area to walk during the day but not recommended at night. An architectural gem it is on a square with several other historical buildings.... More

Location of the hotel was great. Very close to Long Street, amazing restaurants on that street. The hotel was clean, and car valet was really good. The building is very nice. Staff was also very friendly, when we went to pick up a car rental we had forgot our passports in the room, I was able to call the hotel... More

I had been here for a medical conference. Here are my points as below Centrally located at green market square which is accessible to all major places like waterfront, market and convention centre. But the biggest drawback of this location is that it does not offer any scenic views from any angle, for me this was disappointing as we need some... More

The hotel is in a great location with the market just outside and long street just behind. You can walk to the waterfront in about 20mins or the taxis are cheap enough on meter. The staff here were lovely and so helpful. They organised a safari for us, booked us taxis when we needed it and looked after our luggage... More

Excellent staff, food and check in/out. Location good. Room 609 overlooks Greenmarket, fascinating watching them set up/dismantle each day; where declaration abolishing slavery was declared. Tables outside to watch the world go by. No balconies due to heritage etc. Let down only by tiny rooftop pool and gym and small bedrooms. We stayed one week and could not unpack our... More

We visited for the jazz show, I was with my wife only and my cousin with whole family. The hotel is clean and neat. I love the market on the door step. I just did not like the fact they could not reserve at least one channel for my cousy's kids, remember kids will never return to where they felt... More

Wanted a place where I could sit outside, enjoy a cigar and a glass of wine. It is private enough where the street performers do not go and the people looking for money don't frequent. Staff were good, attentive and welcoming. Good selection of wines by the glass.
