Stayed for 4 nights at the end of an African safari trip and loved it. Located in one of the best areas of Cape Town. Nice change from traditional hotels as you stay in townhouses or apartments, so very good for entertaining, etc. Staff at reception are awesome and helpful with everything. Wifi in apartments (rather than just reception) would... More

The room we stayed in for the Cape Town Cycle tour was disasterously tiny! Had to sit on the floor to put make up on as there is a bar fridge under vthe anity. No window in the bathroom, only a door that opens right above the entrance gate to the property so the building contractors working on the road... More

Stayed 6 days in De Waterkant with my grown family of 4. This is a great location, very convenient for most attractions and roads. There are numerous beautiful shops, boutiques, cafe's restaurants etc. This area, with its colourful, interesting architecture and steep, narrow streets has a very special feel. Parking is however very challenging so if you have a car,... More

Thank you for a great review! We are glad you appreciate what this great village has to offer and that you enjoyed everything that is magical about this special gem in Cape Town. Parking is indeed a challenge but there are ways we have managed to work around that with the help of Cape Quarter's Parking system and our very... More

We really enjoyed our time there! The staff is amazing, its in the middle of the gay village, its safe to walk around (even in the evenings)! The rooms were big, clean and charming. We stayed in room number 7, and i will go back there on every visit to Cape Town!

This and De Waterkant House are a collection of houses around a nice neighbourhood where there are lots of bars, restaurants and funky shops. Rooms are fine, nothing too special but a comfortable bed, tidy bathroom and tv/dstv. Breakfast wasn't the best, but the view from the terrace is beautiful. Convenient to walk down to the V&A, or around the... More

I would like to thank you for your valued feedback. I would like to apologise about the breakfast not being to your satisfaction. When you stayed with us, we were still at the beginning stages of our breakfast menu. I am glad to say there have been a few improvements and that I hope that when you return you will... More

We stayed at the Waterkant village in October 2014. the property we have is a 2 stories old house that was renovated. the location is good but parking in he area is horrible, and most of the furniture in the property are rudimentary and insufficient..

Thank you for your valued feedback. Unfortunately parking is one of the most challenging things to secure in Cape Town's suburbs and the Atlantic Seaboard. In our efforts to assist guests that require parking we provide an option for paid parking at our locked parking space on Loader Street as well as parking that is available for guests' use at... My friend and I were registered at DeWaterkant from 9/30-10/3. We stayed at #149, two story townhouse. Self catering. Only way to second floor was spiral metal staircase so narrow I could not get my suitcase up/down and had to carry my things up by hand. Noise in ceiling every morning between 1:00 - 2:30 a.m. woke me and kept... More

As a family of 5 guests we stayed in De Waterkant Village booked through Village & Life. Firstly the service offered by the staff was fantastic - super friendly and efficient.
