We really enjoyed our time there! The staff is amazing, its in the middle of the gay village, its safe to walk around (even in the evenings)! The rooms were big, clean and charming. We stayed in room number 7, and i will go back there on every visit to Cape Town!

This and De Waterkant House are a collection of houses around a nice neighbourhood where there are lots of bars, restaurants and funky shops. Rooms are fine, nothing too special but a comfortable bed, tidy bathroom and tv/dstv. Breakfast wasn't the best, but the view from the terrace is beautiful. Convenient to walk down to the V&A, or around the... More

We stayed at the Waterkant village in October 2014. the property we have is a 2 stories old house that was renovated. the location is good but parking in he area is horrible, and most of the furniture in the property are rudimentary and insufficient..

My friend and I were registered at DeWaterkant from 9/30-10/3. We stayed at #149, two story townhouse. Self catering. Only way to second floor was spiral metal staircase so narrow I could not get my suitcase up/down and had to carry my things up by hand. Noise in ceiling every morning between 1:00 - 2:30 a.m. woke me and kept... More

As a family of 5 guests we stayed in De Waterkant Village booked through Village & Life. Firstly the service offered by the staff was fantastic - super friendly and efficient. We checked into a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom unit in Loader street. It was very clean and had all the facilities you require PLUS a fantastic roof terrace.... More

The de water dekant village is a combination of people's homes that are managed by a company. These homes are very well taken care of. The attention to details and the location make these property very attractive as they are very well maintained and super clean. A great location close to everything, many restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Also only 10... More

We wanted to stay self catering as we were on a family hol with young kids and its so much easier, we stayed at an amazing house on Loader street Number 61. Its a keep fit house as on 4 stories, 1 bedroom downstairs, then 1st floor with kitchen, diner and another bedroom - the kids room with twin beds... More

This is the find of the year. Brilliant location with good value accommodation in historic cottages. Even the lack of parking could not dampen this experience. It was a also very nice to be so conveniently placed.

This place is way different than I expected. It isn't an apartment in a big building, rather, it's a management company who rent and maintain individual houses (and some rooms and apartments), owned by people in the community. And they do it very very well. We ended up with a gorgeous little house on Loader street and were able to... More

Dear Jamie, Thank you for your review and wonderful compliments. Unfortunately there was an administrative error on the council’s side which we were able to clear up the next morning at 9am. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. I am glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to your return. Kind regards Michelle Pretorius More
