It is in the Business district, there is a little bus that brings you to the Waterfront every hour. It is clean, breakfast is very good, the staff is kind, qualified and very nice! Highly recommended. more

We stayed on the 10th floor of this hotel. The room was quite big and confortable. The staff was helpful. The hotel had a large & fantastic buffet breakfast spread. The best part is that the hotel provides a free shuttle to V & A Waterfront every hour. We stayed for 3 nights & really enjoyed our stay there. more

First room we were given was on the 4th floor next to an air conditioning machine on the flat roof outside!! This made the windows (which cannot be opened) vibrate. In addition to the vibration, we were also treated to a constant noise coming from the machine. When we asked to change rooms we were told there was none available.... more

The best part about the Capetonian is its Location.Walking distance from the Victoria and Albert water front The Capetonian has excellent rooms and friendly staff. We were greeted by a smart Parrot at the reception ( refrain from touching him though !!) All in all capetonian has it all, good location , friendly staff and a good buffet spread !Value... more

This hotel was advertised as a 4 star hotel. The hotel car park proudly puts up 4 stars to signify this as well. Be prepared that this is definitely not a 4 star hotel. I stayed at a 3 star hotel in Jo'burg and it was of a much higher standard than this one. The check-in process was fine. Quite... more

My 19 year old son and I went on a school trip to South Africa with around 25 teenagers and 14 adults for 2 weeks in September 2007. We stayed at Sun City outside Johannesburg and the Beach Hotel in Durban. At the end of the trip, a few of us took an extension to Cape Town, which was a... more

I had been to Capetown twice prior to my stay at the Capetonian. On the earlier vists I stayed at the Southern Sun Waterfront and my experience was unparalled. My first concern with the Capetonian was that the staff at the reception seemed not to be able to provide advice on how to tour the City and at times even... more

We stayed at the Capetonian Hotel for 5 nights in Aug 2007. We picked the hotel primarily because of its close proxmity to the V&A. The pictures we saw of the hotel also seemed very nice. We were under the impression that it was a 4 star hotel, though after staying there, I would say its a good 3 star,... more
