We have stayed for 4 days at the Capetonian last May. The hotel has been recently refurbished and the room looked quite new, specially the bathroom. We stayed at a sizable two room suite on the 12th floor with a veranda spanning both rooms and from which we had a beautifull view of the Table Mountain. Location is splendid and... More

I had a group of tourists (Doctors and business people with their families) staying for two nights. They were not happy with the rooms. The location is more for the business traveler, as the hotel is in the business district of the city, close to the International Convention Centre. Walking at night from the hotel is not recommended unless in... More

Stayed there for a couple of nights. The parrot on reception died the afternoon before we arrived! Very security conscious - the staff press your floor on the lift so you can only get out of the lift on the floor selected by them. We were on the fourth floor - the room was big and fairly luxurious with plenty... More

Was at Cape Town for a conference @ the ICC. This hotel was ideally located and I could walk to and fro with ease when tired of being at ICC. Price was much lower than other similar hotels which are a bit further away. Food was not bad however some of the staff weren't that great in the dining area... More

Facilities are usually comfortable. There was no also be troubled with water around. Staff are ちcheerful, and did a polite response. Because the hotel away from the waterfront, shopping might be a little inconvenient. I was able to see the Table Mountain from the window in the room. Be careful to stay away parrot , it will bite you.

Location is very good, specially if you are self driving. We had a great bed and breakfast was alright. In the room there was a very loud and annoying noise, probably water running in some pipe. The shower water would be either to hot or too cold. Hotel has a very decadent feeling, most definitely needs some work done.

We stayed for one night at The Capetonian, Cape Town this weekend. Although oldish and in need of a revamp, I took the 4 star rating in my stride. Although clean, I was surprised to find a plastic beaker in the bathroom (the last time I've seen one in a room, was in a 2 star hotel in India). We... More

This hotel is centrally located and mins from all of the attractions of Cape Town. Close to public transportation and the airport. Dining was pretty good except there needs to be more variety at breakfast, fried fish and pork needs to be added to the menu but it was still pretty decent. The dinner buffet was delicious but the drinks need...
