The Cape Town Hollow Hotel is ideally located in the Cape Town city centre very close to the company gardens and the state house tynhuis (which is the presidential residence in Cape Town). Some rooms are small and the city has some noise at night but all and all a good choice for the city centre.

We found this hotel just right. It was in a great location - across from The Company Gardens and the SA Museum and the view of Table Mountain from our window was great. It was extremely windy but the view was great and we did get to go up Table Mountain on our last day in Cape Town. The walk... More

Arrived with vouchers for two rooms, staff could not find either. Eventually got a room. Room was fair, good view but bathroom pokey. "Kitchen area" looked half completed. Could not open fridge, had to move it. TV was old and half the channels were not working. The general impression of the Hotel, lifts, bar etc. is that it is a... More

There was a bit of a glitch when we checked in, but it was sorted out very efficiently. The rooms I was allocated was a bit small and poky, but adequate and it did have a great view. And seeing as this is Cape Town, you are not supposed to spend your time in your room anyway! But it would... More

We found this hotel to be very friendly, great rooms in a great location looking over The Company's Garden and great views of Table mountain from our room. The staff were very friendly , the breakfast was good and the rooms big, clean and well furnished. Would recommend this hotel.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel…I feel bad I cannot give a more positive review. Unfortunately, our stay started with our flight from Jo’burg being delayed quite a few hours and we arrived at night instead of in the afternoon. The staff at night at Cape Town Hollows were very nice and I give them high marks and lots... More

I have a rather mixed array of feelings about our stay.Firstly, both upon our arrival and departure, I did not find the reception to be particularly welcoming or friendly. We were simply booked in without so much as a quick run down of the hotel's amenities and where everything could be found. We basically had to find everything ourselves. The room... More

Stayed at Cape Town Hollow for 4 nights early January. Room was perfectly adequate and clean. The staff were helpful especially in taking us and collecting us from Kirstenbosch Botanical .Gardens (worth an excellent review in their own right). The real winner for this hotel is the location a 2min walk to Long street and the bars and restaurants. Would... More

We stopped here for three nights before setting off along the garden route. When we arrived we didn't find the welcome warm. We had been travelling a long time and a puzzled look from the receptionist followed by 'your room won't be ready until 2pm' wasn't what I call a welcome. The room when we got there was fine and... We stayed at Cape Town Hollow for 3 nights as part of a fly drive holiday (our 1st to South Africa). Our stay was very good, better than we first expected. The staff at the hotel are very friendly, and helped us with 'finding our feet' for a whistle stop stay in Cape Town. Our room was tidy, clean and... More
