If you want an affordable clean place to stay in Cape Town then here is your place! I'm a 20 year old student travelling alone from the UK and the staff here have made me feel so welcome and at home. Anna and all the girls here work so hard to keep the place lovely and clean for all visitors.... More

I was renting a room with two friends for about a week. Everything is very clean and the whole property is well secured. Free wifi, well equipped kitchen and a bus station nearby. The staff is awesome, very friendly and helpful with any kinds of questions. Very recommended place to stay at.

Stayed her whilst completing a yachting course at the Waterfront in May 2014. Accommodation was clean and staff friendly. Rooms nice and neat. Nice TV room, with large flat screen tv. Will be back to stay in the near future when I am back in Cape Town.

Some lodges are truly flea nests, and I've stayed at many. Not St. Johns, it is truly the cleanest lodge I've stayed at in over 30+ lodges/backpackers. The staff, Anna and Elsie, are great people, very friendly, awesome! Everyone, including Stephanie the Owner, was very helpful in any and all ways. I was on a Super-Yachting / Maritime Training Course... More

Ideally located in Green point which is close to the waterfront and only a ten minute drive to Camps Bay. Friendly service and clean rooms made it a great place to stay. The fact that it had a pool area and patio were an added bonus!

My experience at St. John's was a bit unique: I went to Cape Town with a group of 25 students from my university to complete humanitarian projects and our program director rented out the whole lodge for us. Being there for two months, St. John's completely felt like home :) The facilities provided us with everything that we could have... More

Perfect place in a good area. Very nice employees. Very helplfull at all times. Best place in Cape Town I've been with a very good service! I even lost my drivers license and they send it back to me to Holland. They even arrenged a barbeque for our group. I could really recommend this place to everyone!

A quiet, good situated lodge with nice rooms close to the Waterfront. The rooms are in good condition and very clean. The kitchen is big and has averything you needed besides china tableware. The deck is very nice but the furniture does not resemble the pictures on the homepage. The toilets/bathrooms for the shared rooms seem to be under construction.... More

I stayed at St John’s Lodge for 4 nights and had a great time. It was smaller and more chilled out than other hostels that I’ve visited with older clientele. I met some really lovely people who invited me to join them for a BBQ each night of my stay. This was not the place to go for a party... More
