A great place in the heart of Cape Town. Liz, Phil and staff make it feel like a home from home, with nice touches such as a "Welcome" blackboard in the hall, beach towels, laundry service, Internet access, but most importantly personal service, good conversation, great food, help-yourself ground coffee, advice, and a relaxing, easy atmosphere. Plenty of good eating... more

I haven't stopped talking about Parker Cottages since returning home. The Parker welcome, service and enthusiasm can not fail to affect guests in the most positive way. It is always indicative of a guesthouse or hotel when all the other guests you meet at breakfast or over drinks are so relaxed and want to part of the life of the... more

We had 2 nights here and it was a great start to our trip. The house is beautifully decorated - a mix of modern comforts with antique furniture and quirky modern art on the walls. Our room was one of the "Fantastic" rooms (number 6) which was indeed, well, erm, fantastic! Huge, comfortable bed, lovely and interesting mix of furniture,... more

We stayed at Parker Cottage for the first two nights of a two week stay in South Africa. It is a beautifully decorated house in one of the Cape Town suburbs, offering easy access (walking distance) to local restaurants and is only a very short taxi ride away from most of Cape Town's main attractions. We stayed in one of... more

We found Parker Cottage quiet, civilized, beautiful and stylish. Breakfasts were truly excellent and the staff extremely efficient and perfectly charming. Exceptionally there was the added bonus of excellent conversation during frequent encounters with our hosts. There were never any parking problems and everything of interest was within easy reach. We hope to return to this establishment soon and highly... more

It was our first trip to Cape Town and we were fortunate to find such a welcoming place. Great breakfast on the verandah. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom with good facilities. Best of all was the hospitality from Phil & Liz (Owner) and their staff, who provided us with all information that you could possibly need to ensure our visit went... more

We stayed here on our last night of our holiday in South Africa and wish we had been able to stay longer. Phil and Chris were so helpful with suggestions of where to eat and booking a table for us. Really felt at home and able to use the kitchen whenever we wanted. When we left, Phil asked us if... more
