Beautiful Pool & Poolside Area. Beautiful Spa. A very 'old money' hotel. Service was average for what we had been told to expect from this hotel. We were fortunate as we were attending a wedding during our stay and so got a substantial discount off our room rate because of this. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been worth the money paid.... more

For second year in a row, we spent the night (in the Churchill Suite) for our wedding anniversary. From the doorman to the check-in to the room service response time - exceptional. A huge room, beautifully decorated. Staff knowing your names - and going out of their way to greet you and make sure all's ok. Value for money, too. more

A great classic hotel, but very expensive for South Africa. We stayed ona corporate rate, which made it worthwhile. They have a beautiful garden, but you can't see the sea from the hotel. The Mount Nelson is a wonderful place to relax and its setting is very attractive.
