We have never been on Safari and while this is certainly not the "real thing" this far exceeded our expectations! We drove from Cape Town and stayed one night. I would recommend this as the day trip is a long day out and if you stay the night it is much more relaxed and a lot quieter with less people.... More

We stayed in one of the Premier Luxury Chalets which were beautifully located on the hillside a short walk away from the main buildings. We actually booked for two nights but the timetable for each day doesn't change unless you want to switch (at extra cost) to a horse or quad bike safari - we were going to go on... More

For those who are for business in CapeTown, if no time to visit far game reserves daily tour is sufficient to see the animals. You may see all, elephant, rhino, lion, a lonely giraf freely walking in some areas. You may observe some cars feeding them, or some places where rhinos and others eat their prepared meals. Do not be... More

I really enjoyed the day out at Aquila. I wan't expecting to see animals on a scale that you would get in the Serengeti, but considering they advertise themselves as a private game reserve, I dont see the issue. We booked just a day trip, with transport from Cape Town. Its a bit of a trek to get there, but... More

We spent a day at Aquila whilst over visiting family and friends in Capetown. I have to say it was fantastic. Our game ranger who took us for our game drive was called Timothy and he was fantastic, what he doesn't know about those animals isn't worth knowing! Book a trip and go, it's awesome!

Considering the bad food they served they needed to pay us money. The flies were everywhere. They did not even try to chase them away when they were sitting on food. They covered the food trays with plastic but once the plastic was removed the flies went after it. They never apologized for serving us late. As for the animals... More

A good services, delicated room, lots of wild animals including the big five, however the swimming pool is very dirty. The staff for the tour for safari did gave a detail information of all the animals, sometimes he make jokes to make the tour more interesting and fun. Can see that the staff in there works reli hard and their... More

We decided to spoil ourselves while in Cape Town with a private safari. The welcome was unfriendly and totally disinterested. The food was awful. Boarding school type food that for the most part was unidentifiable. No labels. Tasted awful and the air conditioning was blowing very warm air on the food. A huge health hazard. Other guests were talking to... More

We visited Aquila with our two young children, and even though we knew we should not expect a similar experience to the bushveld, we understood from marketing as well as ratings that Aquila would be worth the visit. Unfortunately it is tough to find positives in this place and we believe it is falsely marketed, a tourist trap and overall... More

We spent Christmas day and night there, and although we all paid the full rate we were packed seven adults into a two bedroomed place with a loft that had four single beds in it. There were two bathrooms (shower rooms). We should have been given two separate units. We found the food to be very average and mostly lunch... More
