What do you say when you have done a lot of traveling and you find the best Guesthouse in Cape town. When you met Henk and Guido (the owners) you feel guilty when leaving. This two guys are at your service at all time. Wow. Thank you for making our stay the best. You will find a very need and... More

We had an Awesome time staying with the Awesome Guido and Henk. Nothing was a problem and they were friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. We had a couple of problems with credit card bookings elsewhere and they just sorted it out for us. Same with cell phone issues and again nothing but helpful. Great view of Table Mountain... More

We had a very comfortable, clean 2 bdrm apt. The location was very convenient with good shopping, and restaurants galore. Henk took us to the apartment which was just 2 blocks from their B&B. We had a quick orientation, and lots of advice about local attractions, and suggestions for dining (Beluga, an easy walk on a warm night was a... More

All the reviews here are true and accurate. Look in the dictionary for the word "hospitality" and you will find photographs of Guido and Henk, the owners and hosts. We stayed in the guest room in the main house and our stay was truly memorable. Excellent breakfasts by "Chef" Guido and superb assistance and guidance from "Concierge" Henk. They went... More

No need to look elsewhere, if you don't stay here you will really be missing out. This is the perfect place to stay in Capetown! With only the 1 room and the welcome and advise you receive from Henk and Guido you really feel like you are staying with friends. The location is perfect in a lovely safe area of... More

Having travelled to 75 countries, I have stayed in everything from the Hilton in Cairo, to pods in Tokyo but the Purple House in Cape Town is somewhere special, somewhere which becomes home rather than another faceless hotel. Within five minutes of arrival, we were relaxing on the roof terrace drinking tea overlooking Table Mountain. The room offered you space... More

Great accommodation and location, delicious breakfast, and charming hosts. From this spot, you can walk around safely to stores, cafes and the waterfront. Would stay here again and recommend it to friends without hesitation!

We live just 35minutes form Cape Town and wanted to spend a night, traveling like tourists in our own City. This was a perfect base. We used all the recommended(by the owner) restaurants, it was fabulous. The stunning rooftop terrace has a great view over the mountain, sea(V&A Waterfront) and the city. I will highly recommend this apartment to anybody.
