The Purple House is great. Henk and Guido (Dutch residents of SA) have an older house but modernized it. They couldn't be nicer. The house is in a very good part of town. They prepare a wonderful breakfast, are full of local knowledge and are great. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We loved staying at the self-catering two bedroom Purple House cottage. It is ideally located in the safe De Waterkant area and within easy walking distance of restaurants, supermarket, shops, the V and A Waterfront, the Bo Kapp area and downtown. The cottage was very spacious, clean and like a second home for our family of four. The owners Henke... More

The Purple House Bed & Breakfast is run by two super and helpful friendly Dutchmen. One can not ask for a better location to stay - in trendy De Waterkant village, in the heart of the city. It is a safe and beautiful area with lots of interesting shops, restaurants and design studios. My partner and I recently had to... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel between 27-30/03/2014 on our trip to South Africa. We got the two bedroom house as we stayed with our friends (another couple), a house which was absolutely outstanding! The location was perfect with lots of cafe/ bars/ restaurants and perfectly safe! If you come to CT, you need to stay there!

If you come to Cape Town (which you absolutely should) be sure to stay at Guido and Henk's B&B. The hosts are knowledgeable and hospitable, providing delicious breakfasts every morning and assistance with booking excursions. The location in De Waterkant can't be beat; this was our favorite part of Cape Town proper and we loved the neighborhood vibe. The B&B... More

Very nice and friendly place to stay in Cape Town. Safe and secure. Great hosts Keith and Guido. Nice breakfast with fresh bread, buns and fruits. Many great restaurants near by short walking distance to Cape Town CBD. Highly recommended. Thanks for lovely four days accommodation.

Stayed a week-end in September 2014, Guido was a great host, lovely little B&B, the great breakfast on the terrace with view over table mountain was a real treat. Only downside: the house isn't well soundproofed so at times you can hear from the bedroom what happens in the lobby, the other way around being probably true as well...

Loved staying here. Very comfortable and walking distance to several of the interesting parts of town. Living area is a bit cosy, but beds are very comfortable The roof terrace is a lovely addition with great views over to Table Mountain.

This apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Very clean and well equipped. The only problem is that you have to walk up a steep hill to get there. There are some very good restaurants nearby and it is within walking distance of Long Street and V&A Waterfront.

This B and B was wonderful with a lovely room and bathroom. The owners were helpful with activity suggestions, making a last minute Robben Island booking for us, ordering a taxi. It is well located, minutes walk to a large shopping centre and restaurants, and 15 mins walk to the city and waterfront. The breakfast was lovely. This place is... More
