If you come to Cape Town (which you absolutely should) be sure to stay at Guido and Henk's B&B. The hosts are knowledgeable and hospitable, providing delicious breakfasts every morning and assistance with booking excursions. The location in De Waterkant can't be beat; this was our favorite part of Cape Town proper and we loved the neighborhood vibe. The B&B... More

Very nice and friendly place to stay in Cape Town. Safe and secure. Great hosts Keith and Guido. Nice breakfast with fresh bread, buns and fruits. Many great restaurants near by short walking distance to Cape Town CBD. Highly recommended. Thanks for lovely four days accommodation.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2014

Stayed a week-end in September 2014, Guido was a great host, lovely little B&B, the great breakfast on the terrace with view over table mountain was a real treat. Only downside: the house isn't well soundproofed so at times you can hear from the bedroom what happens in the lobby, the other way around being probably true as well...

Loved staying here. Very comfortable and walking distance to several of the interesting parts of town. Living area is a bit cosy, but beds are very comfortable The roof terrace is a lovely addition with great views over to Table Mountain.

This apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Very clean and well equipped. The only problem is that you have to walk up a steep hill to get there. There are some very good restaurants nearby and it is within walking distance of Long Street and V&A Waterfront.

This B and B was wonderful with a lovely room and bathroom. The owners were helpful with activity suggestions, making a last minute Robben Island booking for us, ordering a taxi. It is well located, minutes walk to a large shopping centre and restaurants, and 15 mins walk to the city and waterfront. The breakfast was lovely. This place is... More

Henk and Guido are cheerful, wonderful hosts who went out of their way to ensure that our stay in Cape Town was as enjoyable as possible. They provided us with restaurant suggestions (le café Dijon was our favourite) and day tour recommendations, made last minute reservations for activities – everything as smooth as silk. Many have commented on their attention... More

The Puple House B&B, run by Henk and Guido is not only an affordable place to stay in Cape Town, but is also very well located. Its a mere 10 minute walk from Long Street and a 5 minute taxi ride to the V&A. In addition, the Waterkant itself has several cafés and restaurants which are walking distance from the... More

Long due Review. We stayed at Purple house towards the end of July. It was a fabulous experience. The location cannot be better than this place as it centrally located. Henk and Guido literally went out of their way and helped plan our stay in Cape Town. We used to look forward to describing our day to them whenever we... More

A fantastic welcome to Cape Town, Guido & Henk made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. From the moment we arrived, they helped in every way. The room is spotless, stylish and comfortable and the bathroom is amazing! Guido makes a superb breakfast which we enjoyed on the patio and there is a roof terrace with a... More
