The place is not so well kept, we were there in a double room for 6 nights Slightly smaller room and closets which were broken, No access to the Wi-Fi from bedrooms. The place is located at one of the main streets of cape town, the stay was very cheap comparing to most of the backpackers lodge that we checked... More

Two oceans backpackers is an amazing place. It is located pretty close to train and bus station. There are several coffee shops and pubs, right in the neighborhood. And of course, because of Paul. He is a fun guy and a very good host.

Stayed here for four days in my brief time in cape-town. Didn't spend much time in the hostel, just used it as a bed for the night, however from my brief time there the service was excellent. Jacques was extremely helpful and welcoming. The pool table and balcony was cool, as were a lot of the long time guests. I'd... More

Good location. We had a double room, The room is very small, there is a double sagged bed a cupboard and that's it. The key got stuck in the lock. The bathroom wasn't clean. It's not a typical backpackers for most guest were long stay guests. It's an ok budget choice but The next time we rather pay a bit... More

Jacques and Abhu are very friendly. More over: they are very concerned about every guest who newly arrives in the city. The locals (long-period backpackers) were very helpful in going around: bus, minibus, on foot - best supermarkets, liquer stores, dancing places, swimming pools. For me this was what I needed: a family to take care of me for a... More

This place is central but far more important the people who stay there (couple of them for a longer period) and the managers really form a great, supportive community. For me, this is the essence of a backpackers hostel. They invited me to join them for a soccer game in the 2010 World Cup stadium (what a wonderful time!) and... More

This place is certainly cheap, but remember that you get what you pay for... During my time there, I wasn't even given a key for access to the room I stayed in (they didn't have enough keys), thus leaving me to depend on the presence of others in the same dorm to get in and out. Also, I was not... More

Two Oceans has to be one of the best backpackers I have stayed at anywhere. It has everything you need, a kitchen, laundry, an awesome terrace with a great view of Long Street, a bar:-) The one thing you notice about this place it that it smells nice! And that it is clean. I was dealing with Abu who is... More
