This is a story about a top class hotel with some odd service issues. Some good friends and I frequent this hotel on a regular basis to enjoy there smoking lounge. we prefer to refer to it as a stogie lounge. There are not many places if any that can compare with the luxurious wooden panelling, leather lounges of this... More

As far as hotel experience goes, it is pretty hard to top the Taj service. The rooms are fantastically decorated. Not much of a view in the room I stayed in but the amenities more than make up for it. The food at Mint is great and I really liked the breakfast spread. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay in Cape Town! We did a conference there for 150+ people and every single delegate had nothing but rave reviews, and these are seasoned jet-setters not easily pleased Rooms were great. Food was awesome. Setting great and the staff were superb and attentive to everyone's needs.

Excellent service right from the Door. Close to the Parly, Museums and lovely local restaurants close by. :) Restaurant staff remember your name , very friendly. Food is first class, Try the Fresh market produce sale on Fridays just outside on the mall with local delicacies.

Check in for one night to attend a business dinner, arrived at the hotel after a flight at around 1100 am, was told no room was available and checkin could only be possible after 1400 pm. The receptionist (if remembered correctly was Stacy?) did took my cellphone number and said she will advise when room will be ready, but never... More

I stayed at the Taj Cape Town for one night. The staff were awesome - friendly and professional. The room was clean, well appointed where without asking every whim was thought of so that I never had to pick up the phone. I highly recommend this hotel for service, cleanliness and luxury.

the hotel is a charming building, which makes for a very pleasant, somewhat retro atmosphere. the rooms are spacious, very clean, and well appointed. The breakfast buffet has a wide selection of food, and one can ask for a la carte food, including Indian specialities, like dosas. I have been at many Taj hotels in India and despite being a... My parents, husband and I stayed the night of the 20 June 2015. There was so much that happened that it is difficult to summarise all of it. The Bombay restaurant is supposedly a fine dining establishment with a concrete rule of no under 12s. My husband and I were seated to THREE unruly, loud, disruptive and ill behaved children... More

One of the best hotels I've stayed in, with old school Asian-level luxury like turndown service, robes, slippers, etc. Fantastic spa, excellent beds and showers, super quiet and well located, and a superb breakfast. Can't fault the service either. Would definitely stay again.

The Taj should definitely consider advertising it's afternoon tea because it is so good. Being a bit of an afternoon-tea guru in Cape Town. I have to say that yesterday afternoon's tea was the best I have had in the past year in Cape Town. It definitely beats the other 5-star hotels. Well done guys ! They have a brilliant... More
