The Taj Hotel is very luxurious, the bedrooms are excellent and comfortable. I really liked the food and the restaurant. The swimming pool was on the top floor and there was no views. The service was good and the welcoming was nice. I like that they gave me a Taj Passport. This is a very nice hotel to stay in... More

We returned after a year for another visit. Once again we where impressed with the quality and the service rendered at this hotel. This time we benefited from subscribing to their reward system. We enjoyed benefits at the restaurants, were upgraded at their Spa, indulged in the phenomenal Chef's tasters menu of Indian cuisine at their flagship restaurant and had... More

Stayed in the hotel last week for 5 days on a business trip. Beautiful décor, amazing views of the Table Mountain (remember to ask for one), very comfortable rooms and most importantly, superb service. Food (breakfast) was also good - not as good as in some 5 star hotels, but you did have lots of fresh fruit (though at 9... More

The hotel is pretty and located conveniently, but the noise! Forget about sleeping with any windows open if you like fresh air- at about 6am every morning you'll be woken up by the hotel staff clearing garbage, banging the metal bins around as loudly as they possibly can. If you're looking for a decent night's sleep, stay FAR away.

Real old world charm. Lovely large rooms and huge bathroom. Service exemplary . Restaurants top class. About 10 minute taxi ride to waterfront where there are numerous restaurants and tourist outlets. One of the best hotels we gave stayed for many a year

Very good hotel with very nice colaborators, from concierge to reception, restaurant, and maids. Everyone is always available to help, although they're not to messy. We booked a suite and it was marvelous. Two rooms full equiped, both witk Digital TV and iPod Docks. Beds are really big, very confortable with fluffy pillows. Big bathrooms, with bathtube and also shower.... More

After an incredible safari at the Morukuru Family, Madikwe, I brought my 4 friends to Cape Town where we spent another 5 nights at the Taj Hotel. It was a very pleasant experience - we were all upgraded to suites and a mountain view room. The suites were spacious and elegant - one with a big terrace - and the... More

Stayed here for five nights at the start of our tour of the Garden Route and benefited from a very reasonable weekend rate. Had a lovely spacious tower room overlooking Lion Rock and the cathedral. Extremely comfortable bed (top of our list of must haves), pleasant efficient staff and a couple of very good dining options, Twankey, which we fell... More

This is a very comfortable and gracious hotel with fabulous, caring staff. Breakfast was a bit of a fiasco on Easter Saturday but I think the hotel was packed to the rafters with Two Ocean road race competitors and holidaymakers. Everyone however was trying really hard. On check in we were upgraded to a mountain facing room which was lovely,... More
