We visited Cape Town in June 2011 and were lucky to stumble upon Romney Lodge. Done in colonial style with African touches, the B&B is in great and unintrusive taste. There are interesting corners such as the wall in one loo covered in yellowing newspapers from the early 20th century. The place is spotlessly clean and run like a tight... More

We stayed at Romney Lodge this Christmas and loved it. The atmosphere is great and the staff amazing: Philip will help you with everything, Simon will sneak around making your day perfect, and Eunice is just out of this world. Her cheerful laughter will make you smile every morning and we miss her already. If you want a cozy, relaxing,... More

Having seen this small B&B on a previous visit to Cape Town I was looking forward to spending 5 days at this delightful B&B. I was not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we were looked after by Philip and Eunice in a very friendly but very professional manner. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The B&B is at... More

We stumbled upon this B&B while lost and looking for another one that friends had suggested. In a city where B&Bs abound, it's difficult to distinguish one from another or decide which one to choose. Prices are pretty similar as are tasteful decor and small pools to relax or cool down so I guess the deciding factor is the owner... More

Esther and I stayed 10 nights in Romney Lodge. We really had a great. From first moment on we felt so familiar and happy. Thanks to Philipp who made this all possible. We got his help and his advice whenever needed. We loved the big patio. Lying on the sunlounger nearby the pool was so relaxing. The area is quiet... More

At the start of our trip, we stayed at Romney Lodge for 4 nights. It was a great stay and recommend it for several reasons: clean & beautiful decorated rooms with high ceilings, good breakfast, excellent service of Philip & Eunice who made us feel welcome and gave sightseeing tips, enjoyed the funny three little dogs. Next time will come... More

My fiance and I arrived at Romney Lodge early after a 12 hour flight from London and it was absolute bliss. Phillip immediately sat us down, made us coffee and helped us to get our bearings. The accommodation is beautifully set out, very comfortable and relaxing. The food was excellent, I left the house each morning with a very satisfied... More

We had intended to stay only 3 nights, but luckily there was a room free for a fourth night at Romney Lodge. Fantastic location, beautiful accomodation, the decor left me wishing I could transport it to my own house in Ireland, and wonderful hospitality, made our stay in Cape Town very memorable. The owner and Philip and Eunice (who I... More

We've been staying four nights in Romney Lodge and being the 3th time in Cape Town, this was by far the best B&B hotel one can imagine. Phillip and Eunice are the best hosts one can wish for.
