I stayed 3 days and I loved the location since I could walk anywhere but the beds were super squeaky and one night there were a bunch of loud screaming girls outside. You'll be able to hear cars drive by and if you're a light sleeper, it'll be an issue. I'm easy going so it was all fine but wifi... More

The hostel is modern and clean, and the staff are very friendly. However, noise travels very easily throughout the place. In the 5 days that we stayed there I didn't manage to get a single good nights sleep due the parties which carried on in the kitchen and communal areas until very late in the morning (the party only finished... I stayed here for 4 nights, and it is the nicest hostel, situated only a 2 minute walk from long street! Absolutely perfect for getting around town, with lovely staff! A friend and I got in at 3 in the morning and the one member of staff offered to make us a sandwich and some tea - we didn't even... More

I transferred here from Amber Tree Lodge for a few days at the end of my stay in Cape Town. When I entered to store my bags in the luggage room in the basement, I could feel that the Cape Town Backpackers (CTB) feel was very different from the clean, quiet, and relaxed environment of Amber Tree Lodge. CTB is... More

We stayed here in a dorm for a couple of nights- good facilities, friendly place. Staff were really helpful in terms of tourist things to do and directions, etc. Good location for public transport and shops. It had a nice social element to it- centred around the communal kitchen which had good space for chatting, eating, etc. The kitchen was... More

This was my first time at a backpackers. I loved this place, it didn't take itself too seriously, but at the same time remained professional throughout. It was clean and secure and the staff offered really helpful advice, honest and not sales-pushy. I'll definitely stay there again.. In fact I'm off to the sister establishment in Zambia next at the... More

We stayed for 7 nights at CT backpackers and enjoyed every night of it. Cape town is simply awesome!! The location is convenient and staff is very helpful with the planning of trips and calling taxi's. Breakfast was good, bar not so busy. There were some nice restaurants straight around the corner and long street within reach. We did the... More

With the great atmosphere, it was easy to get along with the guests and staff. I enjoyed my stay and wish I had more time. It was also short walk to long st and other shops, so it has a great location. I slept in a seven mix dorm and had no problems.
