My 6 night stay at Dysart was a pleasure. The property is in a truly excellent location - only a 20 minute easy stroll to the Waterfront or into the city, but with many dining and shopping options and the like just around the corner. My room (number 8) offered privacy and basically a private pool. The entire hotel was... More

Stayed Sept 2014 for total 4 nights. Relaxed friendly atmosphere, clean comfortable stylish rooms with great showers, comfortable outside area for sitting and chatting, easy walk to local restaurants, 15 mins to V and A, multiple local buses and local minibus taxis run at bottom of road to Sea Point, Clifton, Camps Bay. Do not stay in a big corporate... More

We stayed here for a total of 6 nights during August 2014 and since we travelled away from Cape Town to visit the Winelands for a couple of days once and to do a safari for another couple of days, we wre fortunate enough to be able to experience 3 different rooms. Each room was imaculately detailed and had its... More

We had a delightful 2-night stay here. It's up some steep steps (no lift) so be warned if you have heavy bags, although usually there is someone to help you. Our room was large, airy and spotlessly clean, with a balcony overlooking the pool. The hotel itself is also light and airy, with artwork by local artists on the walls... More

We stayed here for 3 nights when we arrived in Cape Town for our honeymoon earlier this month, and wished we had booked in for longer. The hotel was spotless, with unusual art decorating the walls. It had a small pool and although we were lucky enough to get good weather we did not brave a dip! Lovely area with... More

Stayed here in July 2014 for 4 nights with my wife and a friend. Perfect location close to beach and city. Was easy to get around. The staff were very friendly. It's a perfect little spot with personal touch. The breakfast was delicious with hot breakfast made to order. The staff will make you what ever you wanted which I... More

We had a lovely stay at the Dysart hotel! We planned only to stay there the first two days of our south Africa tour, but we had such a lovely time that we came back at the end of our trip to relax a bit more in this lovely hotel. Beautiful place, great location en very lovely staff! If we... More

I cannot rate this place highly enough. My husband and I visited Cape Town with another couple. It was our first time in Cape Town, and we weren't sure where to stay. We stayed at Dysart for a week, and it was perfect for us! They have two buildings right next to each other on a quiet street off of... More

A place, where everything is just right: the welcome, the decor, the high quality bedding, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the knowledgable owner, who moved from Germany to Cape Town a couple of years ago. Great position in Green Point, close to both city and waterfront. A true five-star experience.

This was our second visit, 2.5 years after our first. On arrival we were greeted as if we were constant regulars, everyone of the small staff recognised us without fail. Service standards remain as high as ever with a delicious breakfast as good as we remembered. We'll return again.
