Great hotel in a very agreeable part of town, a short walk to the beach – rocky with kelp beds, and a beach made of whole shells, lovely for tide pooling – overall, a fine place to stay. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. With the dollar 10:1 to the Rand, we were in a two bedroom suite that... More

This hotel is in such a great location! A short walk to the beach, a stone's throw away from Camp's Bay. Rooms are clean and neat Breakfast buffet was really good - wide variety of foods. Ample parking - outside and underground.

Had a great stay. Rooms well appointed, easy to adjust the air conditioning, and an opening window meant it was easy to get a comfortable temperature. There was no iron and ironing board, but one (eventually) arrived from housekeeping. Public areas are really contemporary, some lovely soft furnishings and local artists artwork on walls. Room, and everywhere spotlessly clean. Beds... More

Stayed here for eight nights and loved the location- right by the sea and in between Camps bay and the Waterfront. Staff were very friendly and the tour lady was amazing and organised everything for us. Some fab local restaurants, all within walking distance with NV 80 and La Mouette being excellent and still very reasonable at current exchange rates.... More

We were very impressed with the Protea Hotel President. Great buffet breakfast in the morning, which was included in our group tour. Everything from salmon to cereal. There were a few time when we had to hunt the waiter or waitress down but otherwise it was good service. You can use the hotel shuttle for a small fee to take... More

A lovely hotel an excellent base for a few days just outside the main town. The hotel has everything that a 4 star hotel should have and there was a courtesy bus to take us to the waterfront. Security here was excellent. Free car parking and the staff were helpful in addressing any issues we raised. A good place to... More

I would have given this hotel a rating of 5 but honesty is very important. My family & I stayed there in the beginning of January and everything was wonderful until THEY lost my blouse in the laundry - the fact that it was lost was not a problem but the fact that they kept putting me off and making...
