Due to time constraints, we were unable to go further afield for a 'full' safari, but Inverdoorn did not disappoint. From the beautiful and well maintained rooms and gardens to the opportunity to see such amazing African animals, this was well worth the trip. Our guide was extremely knowledgable about the animals and habitat, and all staff were very friendly... More

Would visit again and recommend a two safari one night trip. Be aware though that all drinks are charged to your room and any extras including any shopping done , will have tax added onto it on the final bill Still great place. Though

I gave this place a second chance but was aghast at how shabby it was still. The paint over the cracks is evident when you begin to interact with the managing team and owner. I feel they might have other interests rendering the tourism side of things as a cash-crop to generate petty income as their application to the guests... More

Inverdoorn was a last minute booking, as another game reserve had to cancel our reservation. The terrain is very flat and disappointing. Our first guide was great, with plenty of information and a fantastic sense of humour. Game viewing somewhat predictable, but animals all very well cared for. Accommodation in a superior room was excellent, and roof terrace for star... More

Incredible place if you do not have time to fly to Kruger. The hotel is superbly decorated, comfortable and well maintained. Being city dwellers, what my wife and I enjoyed greatly was the opportunity to star gaze in a sky that is free from light pollution. On the safari, our guide was excellent, saw all the animals that were available... More

I've been lucky enough to go on a couple of real safaris in Zambia, so I didn't raise my expectations too high for this one, but I wanted to go there with my boyfriend who has never seen African animals (aside from at Animal Kingdom at Disney). I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. We stayed for one night... More

Having travelled over 4 hot hours to get to Inverdoorn (the dirt road was a bit further than I had anticipated) we were welcomed in the beautiful oasis that is Inverdoorn. We were welcomed with a cold drink and first impressions were good. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We were travelling as a party of 6 and... More

We were here as a group of ten and none of us had ever been on a safari before. We enjoyed every minute of it! We drove to Inverdoorn in about 2 1/2 hrs from Cape Town and even the drive was great...you think you're driving to the middle of nowhere on dirt tracks! Once there Inverdoorn is an idyllic... More

We were picked up straight from Cape Town airport for a 1 night intro to Safari. Our ambassador suite accommodation greatly surpassed our expectations. The food (lunch, dinner & breakfast) were all excellent. The wine list at dinner was very reasonably priced and had a great selection. The Warder who looked after us (Gonjee?) - evening and morning drive, was... More
