We stayed for one night in a luxury chalet. We were impressed with the room, although we didn't get to spend that much time in it! The food provided was delicious and I really enjoyed the evening meal. The two safaris were ok and we were impressed at how much we saw. However, it was obvious that the animals were... More

The room/grounds- we chose the suite room with rooftop access because we thought you had to choose that one to have the cheeta interaction. However, when we got there we learned that anyone can purchase a cheeta interaction. So, we felt we really didn't need to upgrade to the suite. We didn't spend much time in the room, as there... We spent two days at Inverdoorn, thoroughly enjoying two of the game drives across their vast reserve property. We had read in advance that this is a great place for experiencing the animals in a natural setting. Inverdoorn is definitely a reserve--the animals are fed by staff, the property is fenced to protect from poachers, etc. Still, the animals roam... More

This place should be advertised as a conservation/ animal rescue experience, not a luxury lodge. If you are visiting Cape Town and this is your only chance in your whole life to see some animals, perhaps it has a place. Otherwise rather make the effort to go and see the wildlife in a real game reserve. We were not expecting... More

Staff could not have been friendlier nor more helpful. Food was beautiful, rooms were spacious and spotless and the surroundings were breathtaking. Saw a plethora of incredible wildlife, and up close too! Amazing experience! The next time I'm in SA I will be visiting again for sure :)

Only 2 ½ hours from Cape Town, we landed in a luxurious oasis. Inverdoorn Game Reserve has a beautiful botanical garden, full of cactae. On arrival, we were greeted and golf-carted to our accommodation, a luxurious suite from where we could watch and later pet, two playful baby rhinos, parked just a few meters in front of our bungalow. We... More

I was visiting Stellenbosch (near Cape Town) and didn't have time to go for a proper safari in Kruger Park, so I decided to go for something similar but in closer distance. The game drives (each around 2,5 hours) were very nice and our guide Christo answered all our questions about the animals and wildlife. The weather was pretty cold,... More

Our impression was that the safari experience here was more like being in a large zoo. The animals have been brought in from elsewhere, are fed by humans and in some cases isolated to certain areas - pretty much like large cages. The terrain seemed quite barren and sparse compared to other more 'natural' parks. Compared to Kruger or Sabai... More

Amazing experience! We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. Lovely pool area, great service, friendly staff, gorgeous gardening, fantastic safari guides and lovely little cottages to stay in. Only negative thing was that the food was a bit too "British" for our taste. Would have prefered more variety in terms of breakfast and lunch. Besides this everything was perfect.... More

The staff so friendly, the rooms outstanding and the setting fantastic. Like an oasis in the middle of nowhere. The pool area and bar so relaxing. You would never expect the rooms to be what they are, like a 5 star boutique hotel. The only criticism would be they should rather offer traditional 'braai' in the evening as opposed to... More
