Being the first time I stayed in one of the Safari tents, the accommodations were surprisingly comfortable. It was clean, 2 beds, towels, kettle, fan, fridge and a small cupboard to pack some stuff. There was even a small bar of soap! So I get to the ablutions. First impressions were okay. Then I realized how dark it is. The... More

On a whim we booked a tent over the festive season for a quick trip to Pilanesberg. I've stayed in the chalets before and used to camp there regularly as an honorary officer in the 80s and 90s, but I'd never stayed in the safari tents. We had tent 17, which initially seems ideal because it is far forward towards... More

Great location and beautiful pool. Clean ablution block. It's in serious need of maintenance. The playground is very disappointing - trampoline is a death trap. The restaurant and caravan shop were out of many basic things (and we were there over new year's).

Just relaxed and enjoyed the game drives. We rented a tent. It has a fridge to store your cool drinks and food. You have electricity in the tent. The spacious tent had two single beds. Our internet access was sporadic and of poor quality - forget Skype. You can take your own rental car and do as many games drives... More

In November of 2014, my wife and I had the pleasure of spending 2 days at this wonderful resort on a short trip to SA. We were welcomed in the reception by a gentleman named Ross whose professionalism was to say the least - outstanding! The room that we were in was clean and comfortable and the other staff that... I really cannot understand the negative reviews this resort has received. Admittedly we only saw the safari tents as far as accommodation is concerned and so cannot comment on the chalets, but we found the tents incredibly large, clean and comfortable with a fridge/freezer and free tea and coffee. Everything around the resort worked well and was clean. The restaurant... More

We stayed at the Manyane campsite for two nights and had a fantastic time at the Pilanesburg National Park. The park itself is ideal for a quick getaway and we had amazing sightings. I cant wait to visit again. Manyane campsite has received some critical reviews but people can't stay away. The camp site was very popular with tourists and... More

Spent a week at Manyane in the tent camp. What great potential, but sadly lost to poor maintenance. The camp has so much to offer, with great facilities for a family vacation, including swimming pool, restaurant and lots of activities on arrangement. Pilanesberg National Park is fantastic and so beautiful. Unfortunately the state of repair of the facilities are disappointing.... More

We've stayed at this camp before and valued the chalets as reasonably priced accommodation in an excellent reserve. Our recent visit was a disappointment as the maintenance levels are now poor. I reported a non-working light the morning after we arrived and it hadn't been fixed when we left 3 days later. The hot water stopped working after 2 days... More

Absolutely disappointed. We stayed in the chalets. They were more like 2 sleepers not 4. Was very tiny. And "second bedroom" was a loft with steep stairs and not suitable for small children or for the elderly. Kitchen cupboards were broken. Fan didnt work. Only one pillow on the beds. I slept in the loft and hardly got any sleep... More
