From the moment we drove through the main gate and saw 3 Rhino just past the first corner, we had a great time. The staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Morokolo Game Lodge is situated on the northern slopes of the Pilanesberg mountains in the Black Rhino Game Reserve, recently incorporated into the Pilanesberg National Park, and boasts one the richest varieties of African wildlife, predators, fauna & flora in Africa.We are a small, private lodge, tucked away from the rest of the world. Refresh in our cool swimming pool with a view of the Pilanesberg mountains. Unwind in the intimate 6-seater Jacuzzi with a bottle of wine.We have four luxury suites, two are family suites and two are double suites. The double suites sleep two people (double or twin), and family suites sleep two people (double or twin) downstairs, and two people (twin) in the open loft. All the suites are spacious and fully air-conditioned. Each suite has an ample en-suite bathroom with modern finishes (with bath and shower), a cozy Jetmaster fireplace, comfy seating area and private patio. There is a stocked mini bar in each room, which will be charged for on departure (cash only please). There is also a complimentary tea and coffee station in each suite.The main entertainment area is open plan, and has a lounge with plasma TV, DSTV and DVD player, a beautiful bar area with pool table and various board games, and an outside patio area that seats up to ten people.We have covered parking for four vehicles.Our lodge can sleep a maximum of ten people. Booking is essential. Buffalo regularly roam in this area as they take shelter in remote areas not accessible to other visitors to Pilanesberg National Park. Characterised by a beautiful forest of Tamboti trees and regular sightings of the bad tempered Black Rhino, the Black Rhino Reserve is home to the BIG 5 (Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant, and White & Black Rhino) as well as cheetah and wild dog. Antelope species include Sable, Tsetsebe, Eland, Gemsbok and Springbok. With a species list of over 354, the Black Rhino Reserve is also a true "birders paradise". So whether you are a couple looking for an exclusive, romantic, private safari or you need to arrange a full family getaway, Morokolo Game Lodge is the place for you.
