With a 3-year-old and a 3 month-old we wanted an easygoing experience. A short drive from Pretoria and Joberg, this lodge fit the bill. Pleasant manager and excellent guide (husband of the manager), decent accommodation, fairly decent food... everyone in our group was satisfied with the experience. We saw a variety of animals and went on a good two-hour safari... More

We chose Pilanesberg Private Lodge to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday, having not visited the Pilanesberg for many years. The personal attention from Deon, Jacome, Warwick and Jeandre was fantastic and we felt like royalty for the weekend. We were so privileged to view a lion kill as well as another 3 of the big 5 during our game drives.... More

Everything was excellent. Service, food, accommodation game viewing, hospitality and wilderness walks, Fellow guests were all pleasant and sensitive to the people around them and really interrested in nature. Liked the smaller, more intimate and friendly atmosphere. This lodge has everything larger lodges have but with a special personal touch. We stayed two days and saw some great game. The... More

We had 2 nights at this accommodation and had our every need met. From the welcome to the farewell we were wonderfully looked after. The meals were quality 3 course some inside and some outside around a fire pit, tables lit by kerosene lamps with the sounds of the bush in the backgroud...very special. The chalet's are very comfortable, particularly... More

Cosy, quiet retreat close to Joburg. Accommodation is luxurious and one feels very close to nature, as there is only a small electric fence between the lodge and the park. We had wonderful sitings including a leopard in a tree, thanks to our clever and persistent game ranger. The food is also out of this world!

We stayed for 4 nights as our honeymoon and can't complain about a thing. The accommodation, food, game drives and staff were just brilliant & welcoming. We ate like kings and queens and apart from the early starts, which were made up for after breakfast, the game drives were out of this world. Warwick out done himself on the game... More

This was my first time in the pilanesberg for 7 years and booked a last minute stay for two nights. The Owner , Deon actually met me for coffee in Johannesburg prior to my stay to talk about the lodge and whether there was anything in particular they could arrange for me during my stay . The lodge is well... More

Most luxurious accommodation combined with very friendly service, great food and a unforgettable safari into the Pilanesberg. Would have loved to stay a few more days. I would certainly come back for more of this. Thank you all.

We just spent 4 nights at this lodge and must admit we were not keen to leave. The Lodge is private (only 5 chalets) and peaceful. You soon feel part of the family. The attention and service given by the staff is excellent, the accommodation is neat and tidy, the food is great and the game viewing is exciting. A... More
