I just LOVED our stay at this unique, historic gem. It was so refreshing to stay somewhere different and not amongst usual, boring, latest trend decor. Service was very good. Dinner was lovely. Menu was also refreshingly different to most modern restaurants. Parking seemed very safe. I definitely hope to return.

We have been staying at the Kimberley Club on a regular basis over the last 4 years We always enjoy the fact that we stay in a historical building with all the nice historical decor. However the last couple of times we found the food in the restaurant to be lacking. They are constantly out of stock on certain items and... More

We had a really great stay at the Kimberley Club. The staff members were charming and made our children very welcome. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Our room was spacious with a gorgeous bath. We enjoyed all the historical details of the building and all the old photos dotted around the building.

Great hotel, beautiful building, so well maintained and restored, so much history. The room was great, clean and well thought out!! Would stay again!! The only thing I can strongly complain about was the service in the restaurant!! It was disgusting!!!! I think something was amiss as even the staff were making up strange excuses!!! Two hours for a meal!!... More

The best place to stay if you're visiting Kimberly: old world charm with modern amenities, friendly staff and excellent service. The food was good (and very reasonably priced). Those with an interest in history will enjoy the library and the old photographs that adorn the paneled walls. It was hot when we visited and the aircon in our room wasn't... More

Location of hotel in a bad area of Kimberley. View terrible. Service of staff bad. Advertised as a Boutique hotel. Not at all. Our worst stay out of all 6 places we stayed in December 2015. Had to go and look for staff to serve us in the bar. Staff told us they exhausted as they served 250 people for... More

An excellent venue with more history about the forming of South Africa than some museums have about the British colonial rule. An example of the Victorian influence in South Africa and what a true gentleman's club looked like at the turn of the 19th century.

I stayed for two nights in room 10 on the first floor. Initially I was in room 5 but had to move since the aircon was not working, which was a pity since room 5 was stunning. Room 10 was lovely too (especially since the aircon worked!). It is a lovely hotel, old world exquisite charm. So the fan in... More
