We stayed for 3 nights at Marrick at the start of a 2 week trip, as we'd read good reports about the night drives. We were certainly not disappointed! The farm itself provided very comfortable accommodation - we were in the Honeymoon Suite! Hubre was an excellent host and provided very tasty and filling food each night, as well as... More

My wife and I drove all the way to Marrick near Kimberley because a friend had told me that this is the place to go to if I wanted to see aardvark. And I did. So the two of us made the night drive with the father and son team on a chilly August night - and it was brilliant.... More

Marrick Safari has become a favorite of serious mammal watchers and naturalists, and for good reason. This lodge is set amidst a nice expanse of great habitat for game and nocturnal wildlife. You can arrange night safaris to see some of Africa's most difficult-to-spot critters, and the father/son team of Ben and Johnnyboy September are skilled guides to make sure... More

We stayed at Marricks for a couple of nights during a month long trip around South Africa. The night drives in particular were a highlight; lots of animals including Aardvarks each night, Aarwolves, Black-footed Cat (one night), Porcupines, Hedgehogs and more. The guys who run the drives are very, very skilled. The place has a lot of character and the... More

A delightful place to visit and the most amazing night drives. We stayed for two nights high spots being 5 Aardvarks in 90 minutes, Aardwolf and many other great mammals such as Bat-eared Foxes. Highly recommended.

Being one of the best places to see such highly elusive nocturnal species as Aarvark, Aardwolf and Black footed cat, Marrick Safari is already famous in the mammal watching community. Sightings cannot be guaranteed but their success rates are incredibly high. During our 3 nights stay, we saw Aarvark, aardwolf, bat-eared fox, black backed jackal, cape porcupine, african hedgehog, Smith... More

Marrick Safari should be firmly on the list of any wildlife watcher visiting South Africa. Although the farm is home to countless birds and many introduced game species including Black Wildebeest, Giraffe and Gemsbok, it's the nocturnal wildlife that makes Marrick so special. The night drives are legendary using highly skilled guides to find elusive, hard to see wildlife such... More
