Stayed for a weekend. Very comfortable. Furniture rustic but adequate. Very clean. Bathroom a bit dark and the basin tap kept falling off. Beautiful garden. Breakfast was lovely, nothing lacking. Very friendly and helpful staff. Overall a lovely weekend.

It was like staying in a huge treehouse, with added luxury. The staff were all so welcoming and ensured our room was clean and we were fully catered for. The honesty bar really sets the tone for the type of fanily run establishment this is. Loved the place, definitely recommend it!

Idyllic setting in a tropical garden. Owners with a special care for details and for their guests. They prepared a special barbecue just for the 2 of us under the boma...delicious and the best malva pudding! Very friendly people

Stayed at the Umlilo for two nights and was booked in by Heritage tours and safaris, was a very good experience, the owners were very proactive and helpful. Very useful suggestions and know the needs of a tourist well. Program changes were fixed by them and doubts were cleared with Heritage as well, this made the holiday hassle free. Breakfast... More

I loved this place - the staff is so friendly and the layout of the place is fun to "explore" and maneuver thru. It felt like we were staying in the trees in a jungle. The fish swimming in the stream that runs under the walk way just adds to the experience. The only down side - we had a... More

This place is almost perfect! Almost. You cannot possibly beat the friendliness of the owners, their zeal to make you comfortable, and their willingness to help. Furthermore, the atmosphere outside the rooms, but within the confines of the property, is absolutely wonderful!!! When you enter, you're at the main lobby. Once you turn to the right and enter the wooded... More

In addition the proprietors and staff were friendly and helpful. Although the lodge was in process of refurbishment our comfort was not compromised. If I were to return to St Lucia I would certainly consider staying at Umlilo again.

There are many great features to Umlilo but the ones which stand out are the service from the owner who is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast could feed a small army and the whole layout is so unique making you feel that you are already on safari. You can walk into town in 2 minutes. St Lucia itself is... More

We spent 2 nights here which was linked to a short safari from Durban. The Lodge is made up of wooden cabins surrounded by plants and trees, giving the feeling of staying in a rain forest. The bedroom was large and very comfotable with everything you could possibly need included. The bathroom, wow, huge, with walk in shower and a... More

We spent two fantastic nights in Umlilo Lodge. The owners are very friendly and extremely helpful inorganizing and booking trips for their guests. They recommended us a very good boat-tour on the Estuary. Don't miss out the breakfast - it is an absolute highlight! The design of the B&B is very nice and makes you feel at home immediately.
