Talamati bush camp was the best of the camps we have visited in Kruger. There is a waterhole on one side of the camp and a watercourse on the other. There are about 14 self contained bungalows within the fenced camp. All day animals arive at the waterhole. The wet season is over and the park is drying out. Herds... More

Great accommodation and friendly helpful staff. The hide overlooking a smal waterhole provides up close views of the Big Five. We saw plenty of elephant, rhino, buffalo and sable antelope - as well as the usual plains game

This is a magnificent bush camp with great accommodation, great situation in the park for good game viewing and small so you are not swamped by other visitors. It has no shop or restaurant so remember to buy everything before you get there. This is an attraction on its own, in my opinion. The waterhole is lit at night but... More

The bungalows are recently renovated. The monkeys/baboons are getting more clever. Never leave anything on the table outside and close the door at all times, you even have to 'look' it! The negative side of this camp is, that you have a lot of traffice from the nearby concession lodges when you make your own game drive. Very often this... More

On our previous two visits to KNP, we'd only ever stayed at larger camps with full facilities, and wanted to try something smaller and quieter. In that respect, Talamati is about as far from the Skukuza experience as you can imagine - no restaurant or shop or pool and no crowds of people. Just a dozen or so cottages arranged... More

On the area for game viewing Talamati is one of the best in Winter and not bad in Summer. During Winter the waterhole in front of the camp is very utilized and with the open grasslands around Talamati being a little thinner during the dry season game viewing is excellent. You need to book well ahead though if you want... More

The closest big camp fromTalamati is Orpen Camp (27km). What a great gem. The rooms are lovely, with great bathroom facilities, a big kitchen and a great stoep. There is a magnificent bird hide where you can watch elelphants, lion and even leopard drinking water. The staff are great and twice came to our cottage to let us know that... More

We stayed three nights here and enjoyed it very much. Nice outside furniture, soft and dining, good braai, spacious desperate bedroom and bathroom with slightly tired bath. Extensive kitchen inc oven, massive fridge. Ours was a 4 person and was great for two of us. Saw buck and elephant outside the fence. The fires round about had driven a lot... More
