Words are not enough to describe this little bit of paradise .. To say it was fit for a King would be an understatement .. To say we will be back is guaranteed .. Luxury .. relaxation combined with such amazing attention to even the smallest of detail topped off with mouth watering cuisine .. What can I say but... More

I thought the reviews that I have read here at tripadvisor about this place were a bit too good to be true - but I was wrong! I, my husband, our little daughter and my parents just recently spent two nights at Plumbago and it is really something extra -more than a guest house. It is a place to relax... More

Every aspect of our stay surpassed expectations, from the setting, to the accommodations and the food. On top of all that, our hosts were engaging, informative and very caring. Highly recommended. From a couple in NY.

Our five night stay at Plumbago was a peaceful break, enhanced by the great cuisine and friendly Propietors and staff together with Millie and Bella the two very friendly dogs. Plumbago, with it`s great pool, long scenic views from the lawn over endless banana plantations, was very central to the popular sites and towns in that area. There are endless... More

This is our second stay at this beautiful guest house. The accommodation is beautiful, lovely bed linens and the attention to detail is fantastic, every toiletry you could possible need and a very welcome decanter of sherry in the room. Our arrival was delayed by a day sadly due to one of our party being taken ill on the aircraft... More

We spent the three first nights of our honeymoon in Plumbago Guest House, pretty close to Kruger National Park gate. We loved the exclusivity. There are only three rooms in the guest house and we had the room next to pool & with view over the banana plantations at the neighbouring site. Location is pretty distant from services in agricultural... More

A great stay in a quiet and green surrounding area. The apartment has a well equiped kitchen including a washing machine. The view from the terrace was stunning. We felt very welcome by the lovely owners.

After leaving Kruger Park we stayed at Plumbago Guest House. We only stayed 1 night but would definitely like to stay longer next time. We received a warm welcome from ilara and Robbie and the dogs (let us not forget Tigger the cat also). The suites were well-equipped, comfortable and spacious and dinner and breakfast were excellent. Sincere thanks to... More

We loved our stay at Plumbago Guest House over Christmas. Our doggie Tiffany was treated like one of their own, and even received a bowl of bacon on Christmas morning! Their hospitality is remarkable and the food top quality. We will be back!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Through the wrought-iron gates at the end of a bougainvillea-lined drive, you will find Plumbago - as pretty as the flower that shares it's name, set on an avocado and banana farm, it sits above the plantation watching over out to the Kruger National Park in the distance. With 1940's jazz in the background it has just the right accompaniment to the nostalgic, colonial-inspired setting. Charming air conditioned rooms with sitting areas, en suite bathrooms,t ea trays and fine bed linen, which have the same casual gracefulness about them with subtle, natural tones. ... more   less
